Ideas to flesh out my Bass Rack...

Currently I have a pretty basic Bass Rack.

Power Conditioner
Rack Tuner
BBE Bmax-T
Power Amp

I've recently moved to this from a Line-6 Bass Pod. I'm liking the less complex approach as far as the sounds that are available to me. But... I'm also missing a couple things.

Noise Gate (Not as big of a deal with my Schecter, but my Frankenbass has single coils and can add some hissssss if not both wide open)
Chorus (Usually just a hint for color and some life. Sometimes a full colored chorus sound.

In a perfect world I'd find a Gate/Chorus combo pedal that would provide exactly what I need. Life isn't perfect though and I find my options are either two Stomp pedals (Smart Gate/Chorus etc) or a multieffects unit that would toss me back toward the complexity of effects that I found I do not really need/want/make use of.

So... Do I just need to accept that if I want these two other things I'm just going to have a couple stomp boxes in front of me, or on top of my rack?

THoughts? Ideas?

Well, there's an excellent rackmountable noise gate (1/2 rack width) in the classifieds here, and you could pair it with a Boss RC-50 (I think that was the name/number) half-rack analog chorus unit.

The RC-50 is a Loop Station, actually.

The RCE-10 is the Boss Microrack Series Chorus Ensemble, and the Boss NS-50 is the Pro Series Noise Suppressor. Both are half-rack sized.

I'm not a big fan of Boss, but that site rocks for researching old Boss gear!

You could always line the bottom of a rack shelf with velcro and use pedals that way, if you want them off the floor.

Excellent input guys. Hadn't thought of velcro on bottom or rack, or 1/2 Rack units.

Gracias.
