Identifying a Morley

There's a Morley wah on the local craigslist but the seller and I both don't know the model. Here are all the pictures the seller was able to give me.

Just wondering if it would be worth buying for use on bass. I had been looking for a Power Wah, but thought maybe this could do the trick.

I'm guessing it could be a PWA like the this one

I had a newer Morley Wah for guitar that sounded like crap with my bass. I recently picked up a bass specific Wah and it sounds great.

I would try it with your setup before buying.

Just my $0.02.

I was thinking it was a PWA too.
It all depends on how u like your wahs. Even though not a specific bass wah, some of us folks prefer the screaming highs the guitar wahs give. Just depends what you want out of the wah pedal tbh.

Time to check in

If I'm not mistaken, the PWA and PWA-II look about the same, and have the same controls... so it could be as old as 1992, or as new as 2005.

I don't know if either one sounds decent on bass, though, as I've used few of their early-90's models.

If you can ask the seller to open it up (only four screws need to be removed - they're all on the sides of the pedal), there will be a date and model printed on the PCB, usually in the corner of it somewhere. It'll be easy to spot.

Well, I'm going for the Cliff sound. I'm going to take my bass, big muff and a small bass amp to meet the guy and play through it. The second picture I posted is actually an identical one on ebay, although its local too. And 36 dollars. So, I'm going to test that sucker out.

Ah...

Well, if it doesn't work out and you don't mind spending about $80.00 or so, check out the current reissue Power Wah.

Let us know how that old PWA (or PWA-II... whichever it turns out to be) sounds!

That's what I had been looking at, but I figure I may as well try this other one
