If you were limited to one pedal that had only one function,....................what would it be?
Do not say tuner or multi effects pedal or modeler, just one pedal with one effect, what would it be?
There has got to be one simple function that is most useful with the music that you play.
Tell us what type of music you play, the pedal you would choose and why........

If I had to choose just one I'd have to go with a dirt pedal of some sort. Give me about three weeks to decide which one.
Reason I'd choose distortion/OD/fuzz? I like it. I like it a lot.

I would be hard pressed to choose between od, filter, and comp - but it just occurred to me that the right tube pre could sort of cover both od and comp. So, in this weird hypothetical world where bass players can only have one effect I would look into a nice tube pre. Of course if I had to pick just one of my current pedals it would be the Blueberry without a doubt. |

If I could pick any pedal it would be the XO Q-Tron+, just in case I wanted a down sweep as well.

I like the idea of having a tube in the pedal, but it's not necessary. I want that dirty Chris Wood sound. I'm not looking for my bass to sound like a buzzsaw.

I guess I could live without the Goat cus I only use it for Bass+Guitar "emulation".... but I dont wanna live without it
Oh and tuner = required. Otherwise I'd run the REAL chance of sounding even crappier than I do now |

But I realized that I can always get that from my amp! So, I personally would choose an octave pedal. I play a pretty wide variety of music: pop, rock, country, folkish, acoustic and occasionally jazz. I've found that octave is the most versatile effect, for me, in a variety of musical contexts... |
