If you could only own one brand...

If you could only have 1 brand of pedals on your pedalboard, which would it be? I guess the obvious choices are probably Boss, EHX and MXR/Dunlop.

I have to say I would go with MXR/Dunlop. All of my pedals except for my Hematoma are made by them. 105Q wah, DC Brick, M117R flanger and a Phase 100. If all my pedals had to be by them I would add a Blowtorch, MicroAmp and probably a DynaComp.

What about you? Which brand and which pedals would you choose?

I think I'd go with Electro-Harmonix. I'd like to think that when I put together my pedal board (in the works), it'll be diverse between the brands in it. However, I see myself looking at Electro-Harmonix products and thinking "Hey, I wouldn't mind having one of those"

Second choice would be Zvex, although those are expensive, then Line 6, then maybe T Rex, although there aren't many sound clips of their pedals with bass...

Definitely EHX. Now that the Bass Big Muff, Micro POG, and Stereo Memory Man with Hazarai are in the lineup, I would have little reason to look outside that brand.

In a close second is MXR. Why isn't it first? Because my Mistress sees more action than my Blowtorch.

Moog, as long as I was allowed to build my own bypass boxes.

Put the Blowtorch to the Mistress, that way everyone will be satisfied. Assuming the Mistress enjoys massive, disfiguring burns all over, obviously.

But, really, who doesn't?

Oh, and so that I'm not totally off topic for the threeve-teenth time today, I don't think I could play this game. Daddy likes variety.

If I could only have 1 brand, it'd prolly be HBE.

Tho I do prefer my Boss/HBE/Wounded Paw mix

I'm not saying it would be fun to only have one brand. I love my Hematoma and most of the pedals on my "to get" list are from EHX. But If it had to be only one it would have to go to MXR.

Maxon, without a doubt. AF-9, CS-550, CP-9Pro+, AD-900, PH-350, and probably one of their overdrives though I haven't tested any of them yet. I'd be happy with that lineup.

Now, she's in three songs live, two of which now have recorded basslines.

(And none have made it to the MySpace yet... )

In that case, Maxon. I'd cry without my PH-350.

ToneCzar.

Dove overdrive, Openhaus Fuzz, Halophaze Phaser, Powerglide Trem, VFM for controlling Effect/Distortion (go watch the videos on his site if you haven't yet) with his modded EBMM Exp. Pedal, and the EchoCzar Delay with the AngelBaby Modulation Accessory, all powered by one or more of his modded PP2+.

Sound's like a good pedal, but I've not seen any EHX pedals in person, I'd love to try one out.

Ibanez

In specific the ToneLok serie.

I finally got my Phat Hed set up so it makes the drive I am looking for.

I also ordered the SB-7 Bass Synthesizer, of wich I have high expectations.
Ordered it saturday, about 2 weeks waiting they said.

Also the DE-7 Delay Echo would be nice. I'd like a very simple delay padal.

Plus, you gotta admit: they look so cool. I just imagine the three I want next to each other.

EDIT: And I don't like Ibanez basses and guitars.
But the ToneLok pedals I love.
