Would you?
I could prolly get rid of the lunchbox and set one of the bank keys on the gt-10B to "eq" in manual mode to get a bass/no bass switch. The only problem would be that the bass tone across the 5 fuzzes wouldn't be consistent.
My biggest problem would be replacing the fuzzes LOL. I could prolly get the TLSF/other fuzz vibe by going A+B mix on the gt-10B channels, with a fuzz OD/DS module on one side, and the GTRmetal pre on the other. The problem then would be turning off the fuzz and EQ to leave just the bass
I still wouldn't downsize tho. No way. My rig is too much fun |

looking at a road rage gear rapidfire switch so i can go from my modulated and delay signals to a straight rock and roll type sound without tap dancing. and no i don't want a simple tbp switch to take everything in an out cause that means i still have to click another switch to get my drives going =) see. simplified yet more complicated! |

I change things around quite often. I still own the gear, I just don't use it all the time.

In my dream world I'd have one box that would magically run all of my effects. And one simple pedal + expression control to easily control it all. |

Are you talking about the whole setup?
Unless I start doing DI only gigs I don't think I can downsize any further. Lightweight bass in a gig bag with my cables, lightweight head in a gig bag, single LDS 15/6 cab = total weight of 60 lbs while still putting 1000 W into 8 ohms. Life is good.
Or are you just talking effects?
In that sense I HAVE downsized my rig. This last month I haven't gigged with pedals at all other than the one gig that requires them - and for that one I had gone back to throwing pedals and cables in a bag until my PT Mini arrived. First gig with it was last night and it went fine.

My electronic board is studio-only right now, so for that one, I just bring whatever pedals I think I'm going to need at each jam session. Although it is always a pain when we realize we could use a bit-crusher on some song and realize I left it at home. |

They both have a Korg PitchBlack, a compressor, eq, and some dirt, but the bigger one also has octave, phaser, filter, chorus, delay, and more dirt. Maybe someday, the big one will go out and play, but right now, everything I *need* is on the small board already.

I may be skipping the filter altogether and just using od, comp, and tuner. My other stuff(octave, filter, delay) can stay home for goofing off and solo recording. |
