If you had one spare rackspace, what would you put in it?

Okay, I have an amp (obviously), an Aphex 204 and a compressor in my rack. I don't need or want a rack tuner and I have a floor standing power conditioner.

I do however have 1U of spare rackspace.
If you were I, what, in your opinion, "cool" unit would you put in there and why? :-)

Just put in a fill panel and put some clever saying on it. Not a bad thing to have some space for air circulation.

I am in the same situation - but I am going to fill it with a Rack Tuner

Alternatively, I'd try and obtain one of these.

Danny, you win a coconut. I've gone with the AGRO.

Three weeks lead time on the delivery though.

Yeah, just check out their site from time to time or email them and ask when their next 1-unit panel is likely to be available.

Well, now I've got an AGRO on its way, I've been wondering what the best place in the chain would be for it.

I think I'll put it in the effects loop of my GK 1001RB and in this order:

Amp FX Send -> Aguilar AGRO -> Compressor -> Aphex 204 -> Amp FX Return

So people, does this sound reasonable or is there a better way? I'm open to any suggestions.

Run the compression first, IMO. Compressed dirt always sounds a bit too flat to me.

Oh yeah that sounds perfectly reasonable, now you mention it. I'll take your advice. :-)

If I had a spare rackspace, I'd put in something with flashy, blinky lights, that don't really do anything.

Wireless or multi-effect unit would be my advice. Runner up advice would be a locking drawer.
