I'm going insane - anyone remember this video?

I'm trying to remember the name of a bass player.

I saw a video that was posted somewhere on TB (I'm 97% sure it was in Effects) of this bass player doing a tour of his rig/effects. He was a funky player, did a bit of slapping. I think that he had an MXR bass DI, and MAYBE (maybe) a Boss AW-3.

He was touring with a some sort of hip hop guy/rapper/something.

Sorry for being so vague. Anyone have any idea who I'm going on about?!

Hmm... Do you remember anything else about it? How old was the guy? What did he look like? What kind of bass did he play? Anything you can add would be helpful.

I'd bet my left one that is was Doug Wimbish, and I'm willing to bet I remember the same video, but I can't find it for the life of me. Was this the guy, though? Funky bass player, beloved effects user, and he's recorded with rapper Mos Def.

I had my fingers crossed about the left one thing, by the way.

interesting that when he kicked on the distortion from the m80 he was turning the whole unit on and off, not just the distortion channel.

Reckon he uses the tone shaping on the pedal to shape his distortion?
