pedals are nice but the easiest, cheapest, and quickest way to sound better is to be nice to the sound guy!  |

In fact, the switch is just there but doesn't actually switch anything off or on. It is there to step on randomly to give the appearance of using your effects board. I believe there is a "raw enthusiasm" pot inside that you can adjust the level to blend with the "genuine modesty" knob.
