why should I plug the new boss gt-10b into my new ampeg ba115hpt (just kinda lucked into both) when you pros can tell me how crappy It's gonna sound.I'm just assuming the ampeg will sound better on it's own.Besides,I don't know where to set the input level on the gt-10b in relation to the volume/master volume on the amp.Which, be there a tube or fuse problem with the ampeg,ONLY a tech should try to crack that nut.I been rippin amps apart for 25 years...no way I'm touchin the fortress back there, man.Any thoughts? thanks- |

I don't know how a speaker is going to sound unless I play through it. |

The output level for all effects devices should be the same as the level when the instrument is plugged in directly unless you intentionally want a boost.
The input gain for all effects devices should be set as high as possible without causing distortion, unless you intentionally want the distortion.

Personally, I think you'll sound good after you read the instruction manuals and stuff.

Maybe individual pedals are more to your liking? |

| | | | ya maybe- Plus they say ind. pedals are always better than multi-effect units.Thanks. |

My first post was sarcastic, yes, but not aimed at anyone in particular, just a comment on the direction of the thread. The response from the OP was a direct shot at me. Although I may not be the most knowledgable member of these forums, I do attempt to help out, whenever I feel I can, and I find my foot in my mouth more than I'd like. However, when shot at, my first instinct is to shoot back. I'm sorry if this has turned into a personal war, not my intention at all, please, carry on. On a side note, is that Arnold in that pic?
