Its not that bad though. I'm really enjoying the 1/2 Gainer and the Octamizer. On the below pic you can see the Swollen Pickle and the Memory Toy. I like the Swollen Pickle, but sold it because I had an offer and I'm finding that I preferred using one of the channels on the 1/2 Gainer maxed in the places I was using the fuzz. The Memory Toy was neat, but after the second one crapped out on me, I don't feel I can trust them.
So I am back to the 1/2 Gainer, Octamizer and the Pitchblack. This is all I need for my band. However that leaves me with space on the board, and no self respecting effects junkie can have that. So, since I don't have any real needs, I am looking for something fun to have for just messing around and I am looking for ideas. Synths? Filters? Modulations? Weird Delays?
I'm mostly just a Indie/Alt rock guy, but wouldn't mind delving into some funk and/or jazz at some point. |

I think a phaser could be cool as well or some sort of warbley chorus/flanger type thing.
Argh I love being in the 'I've got a gap on my board' situation, my mind goes into over-ride haha .

I can't recommend one though. Nearly every delay I've owned has crapped out on me at least once.

Not sure what I'd go for in terms of filters but I'd go for a Small Stone for phaser. I tried one a while back and was really impressed . Quote:

Pharaoh? | I've got a small stone nano and love it. I compared it to more expensive pedals at Bananas and decided to go with the nano. For the money, you can't go wrong with it. |

Malekko 600 Dark and Subdecay Echobox have gone the way of the buggywhip with me as well (currently being repaired and received replacement, respectively). I either have bad luck with delays or they just suck, I don't know. The only other pedal I've owned that up and died on me was a Boss Bass Chorus many years ago. Yet another form of delay.
EDIT: Wait, a wah pedal I once owned borked itself. The cycle was temporarily broken!

I keep meaning to sell it, I don't know why but I can't get rid of it...probably because I don't make an effort to get rid .
It's too good!

Still, delay is the most fun pedal. You may also be interested in reverb. |

I'm hoping to check out the Malekko 616 soon; seems like the only thing that could possibly replace my beloved Echo Box. For tremolos, I think the Catalinbread Semaphore is quite versatile, and I love the effects I get out of it.

I can recommend with firsthand experience the T.C. Nova Repeater delay. It sounds great, it's simple, yet it's relatively small and inexpensive for having as many options as it does.
The FEA Growler looks interesting too. You could use that as a thickener or to add harmonics up top...etc.
Of course, all of those won't fit on your board, so I apologize if I leave you with a difficult decision.

would a line 6 modeler fit in there? i could see getting use out of the FM4 and MM4

They're bringing out a mini version as well...in a 1290 size enclosure. Quote:

| | | | I'd grab a good delay, and a smaller phaser, or upgrade to a bigger board and get a Line 6 M9 to take care of delays, reverbs, and modulation |
