I'm planning to buy a bass effect

But I have no idea what to get. What effect does the band Muse a lot? Like in more than 1 song. I'm not looking for anything specific, like the brand and model.

i'm reluctant to take it seriously as well. Sounds a lot like Caleb's post.

On the off chance this is a legit thread, I'd say a fuzz pedal would be a good start.

Chris Wolstenholme has used a Big Muff among others.

A synth and/or a delay would be others to consider.

search function pedal by use the search industries is the best search pedal ever. if you search a lot you can find out a lot of info on search pedals and other such search like effects. searching pedals are probably my favorite searchtacular units, they are so searching awesome i can't even search to find out how more search sweet they are.

What y'all need is a vintage Searchitron 3000 from Malekko Heavy Industry. I hear it comes with a Billy Corgan figurine.

Details are king around here. Even for those of us who are Muse fans, naming a few songs will help tremendously. If you've ever checked out the "Pedalboards of the Stars" thread, you'll see why. Muse's bassist - Chris Wolstenholme - has a pretty big pedalboard.

But of course, if you use the Search feature on this forum and type in those song titles, chances are there are a few threads on them already.

I've searched, but can't find a good setting for my search pedal, and now, I can't find it. Guess I'll keep searching.

I believe it's safe to say that the search function is true-bypass around here.

it also has constant audio-dropouts, and often comes from the factory "out of phase"

Not to mention, it runs only on a 9VDC battery. AC power is not an option.

And clearly, its battery is dead quite often.

Jeez guys :-) he just wants some help starting up a pedal / fx board.
Why dontcha try a multi FX like a ZOOM B1 or the ZOOM B1 with the expression/(wah type)Pedal on it... these give U a good idea of a lotta effects, for a good price & MANY of the FX in 'em are darn good too!! Thats how I started using FX. Not that I use many now anyway- Just a Big Muff, & a Envelope Filter usually...usually.....

Yeah this forum is meant to help not to just treat people as a joke, if he's not being specific then hes not being specific, is it really the end of the world?
Ok so Muse..
what you need is a big muff for a start, and then probably a deep impact, but the deep impact is rare and expensive, i dunno about the big muff but its pretty dear to.
in terms of just effects wise you can never go wrong with a dist or overdrive pedal, if you get one that suits you then the possibilities are limitless, i use a boss odb3, it dosnt get too much love round here so u should try others, but it is a good pedal. You can also get alot of usage out of choruses, envelope filters and flangers, they are quite versatile too. if in doubt go multi fx and see what you like.
xx
