Industrial Bass Overdrive

Which of the above overdrive pedals should I buy to get an industrial bass overdrive sound? Think NIN, Ministry, Skinny Puppy, Alec Empire, Rammstein ect.. My budget is around £50, which is pretty low, so no hand built pedals here; sorry.

I had the Boss ODB for about 3 months, and I loved it. I'm sad I gave it away...

The Behringer BOD100 is a clone of the ODB-3, nice and cheap, great for heavy fuzz / distortion, can mix the distorted signal with the clean signal, built in two-band equalizer.

The boss ODB-3 is probably your best best for that bassy industrial crunch. It's not good for much, but industrial it can do. Just be sure to touch the bass knob up a touch.

Have you actually tried out the BOD100 in comparison to the ODB? Has anyone tried any other ODB clones?

I have the BOD100, love it. Used to have the ODB-3 a long time ago, but I can't remember it well enough now to make a close comparison.

Im gonna be bold and say that any harsh/cutting distortion/fuzz with low end retention will work.

An English Muff'n with AX tubes (if you're ok with an extra wall wart) or a SansAmp Para Driver would be my suggestions. The PDDI can get wild, but you can tame it with the blend control a little.

No debate here. zVex Machine.
It's not the kind of pedal you can use everywhere (or anywhere at all). It cuts through like no other and tends to generate unpleasant harmonics.
Absolutely fantastic for indus stuff.

Thanks guys, keep the suggestions coming. However interesting these high end pedals are, they are a little out of my budget If you could keep on with items under $100 that would be good. Thanks again.

On the cheaper side, a good old Big Muff can do wonders but from your list I'd recommend a RAT.
If you can find one, a 2nd hand Boss FZ-2 (not FZ-3 or FZ-5) will work fine for indus.

I voted ODB-3, but the Guyatone TZ-2 would be a good option as well.

The fuzz on a Muff would probably be too smooth, IMO.

Loads of you are recomending fuzz pedals. I already own an EH Big Muff (NYC), hense including it in the options. I was wondering what the best way to get a great tone out of it is, I have never been able to get anything but mud mud mud.

My main bass = Schecter C5 with EMG 40P5 and 40J pickups....

I don't see the big muff NYC as a good industrial pedal

It doesn't cut very well through dense sound structures because it has a significant mid-scoop built into it.
