Try the DMB Lunar Echo. Cool modulation effect. Great regular delay but the wrecked mode and take off footswitch make it very interesting. The EAR AD4096 does some really cool grainy vintage stuff. I have a Diamond MLjr coming on. The Lunar Echo is awesome...but it didn't play well with my high output active Status bass. The trails were distorted. But with a bass with less output that thing is where it's at. |

It's tricky to get "interesting" with it though... for that, i like either a Boss RE-20 or a Line6 DL-4... either of those are interesting already, but with their ability to accommodate an expression pedal... things can get weird.

| | | | Just checked out the Lunar Echo, that's a VERY cool sounding pedal... Probably a bit out of my price range, but pretty tempting. I could see that take-off switch getting a lot of use! |

Not sure how this would work on bass, but on guitar I know it's really stunning. That Sway control is bizarre and wonderful (adds a woozy modulation to the echo signal, that's somehow not just a gimmick... it's really musical and usable).

Tap-tempo, modulation (with variable speed and depth), tone knob for the repeats, gain knob for the repeats, expression input, subdivisions, and up to 3 seconds of delay - via tap tempo -. It's around $250 US; but I would say it's well worth it. I'm buying it when I get the chance. I own two Way Huge pedals and I am quite satisfied with them, thus far. |

That Echolution looks fantastic.

VFE Echo Ohce: very cool delay with a compressor and volume swell built in. Can be VERY atmospheric...
Boss PS-3: it's a DD-3,pitch shifter, harmonizer and whammy in one!
Strymon El Capistan: bought this to replace my Space Echo and although its amazing I just prefered the lower? fi quality of the RE-20
Roland RE-20 Space Echo: best ambient delay ever. Has dedicated tap-tempo and 12 modes with delay, reverb or reverb and delay. |

Three delays in one small box, serial or parallel operation, and an FX loop. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
