In the long run (considering running multiple apps), I'm currently limited with my 3GS. But, I'm so impressed with JamUp that I may have to exercise my "share rights" to my Wife's iPad2. I really hope that the folks at PositiveGrid continue this kind of "attention" - that it won't die off after the newness wears off and app purchases settle down (like they've done with AT and AK, I would assume).

Q1: How are you guys changing sounds live, in-song? It seems Griffin's Stompbox and JamUp get along well and it seems a good price at Amazon right now. Anyone try it?

Q2: How many of you are getting cellular traffic interference? I'm suddenly getting the typical cellular traffic cross talk, when I wasn't before. It sounds odd, but really, the only thing that's changed in my setup is: update to IOS 6 (from 5) and JamUp. I now must Airplane Mode my phone or it's noisy; for whatever reason this never, ever, happened until now (using IOS 5, with AK, AT, etc). What puzzles me is the change.
I'm guessing the 3GS is your problem. I was running Amplitube on a 3GS and had nothing but problems. Lots of noise and just general glitchiness. When I upgraded my iPhone to the 4S, I was amazed at the difference. The processor in the 4S is awesome.

I haven't tried the Griffin Stompbox, but I'm definitely intrigued. What I do is set up my presets in such a way that what I need is right next to each other, and keep Jamup on the preset page so I can reach over and switch them.

bummer about the guitar plugin not working as you'd expect.
With MTDaw and audiobus you could use JAMUP XT or you can do the Prieto Technique and MTDaw AT or jamup or whatever
I paid $40 last month. Did they raise the price? If they did, they may have also added some pluging that I had to buy seperately.

I've only used auria for a couple of recordings I haven't yet finished. From all the reviews I read on the other DAWs, it seems to be the only one that really lets you get down to business. There's nothing I can't do in Auria that yet that I did with CUbase, although I'm still a lot more used to using Cubase. What I like about auria is it works without any hitches and there wasn't a huge learning curve. Didn't have to spend 3 days figuring out how to get the audio hooked up properly and functioning without any latency latency. No freezes, glitches, etc. Only problems I've had are with the plugin. The one thing I DON'T like and can't yet get accustomed to is the way it saves stuff. You make a move, and it's saved. I prefer saving it on my own so I can easily go back to what I had before. You can always undo as many times as you want, but it's just something I'm not yet comfortable with. I wound up saving my 2 projects under a bunch of different names so I could go back to the original work I did. Cuz of that, I dumped everything I did into cubase. I like that it was pretty simple to do that also, and pick up where I left off.

What about Multitrack DAW, anybody want to answer my questions from the previous post?

Also curious... how the hell do you guys work any kind of DAW from an ipone? Do you have microscopic fingers and vision or something I don't have? I can't imagine using any kind of sophisticated DAW with 3 inch screen.

Lol. On the 4S, it's tricky sometimes, but I've got small fingers!!
There are some thing I'd like to see changed to allow for easier adjustment on the iPhone, but overall I haven't had any glaring problems.

What are all of your thoughts on the jamup plug? People seem to think it has superior sound to other headphone input interfaces.

The engineer who posted about clock noise has me wondering if any of this "interference" is in the audible range and if it is, how much of a problem does this present for recording applications.
I've tried my Sansamp Oxford in front of the B15R in AT. Posted about it in the iRig thread a while ago. You can find this clip on my Soundcloud.

Presets. Banks. Whatever ya call 'em. All set up before playing. Touch one button... sound changes. Easy!

It isn't just Amplitube that should be concerned.

That right there Joe is the one of the problems I have. One of the reasons I'd like to upgrade to an iPad 2 or record straight into Reaper, or get a recorder with USB so I can record straight or use as an audio interface.

I'm at a stage where I need LARGE buttons and sliders...

As for MultiTrack DAW, I ain't no wizard, but you'll find a link to a bunch of helpful support stickies a few pages back.
