Btw Adam, just to stay on the Christmas spirit I could mention here that I was born 10km from Nazareth!

Regarding Christmas food, turkey is actually not a big tradition here in Norway, we eat either ribs from lam or pork. The ribs from lam are salted and slightly dried so they have to be in water the night before cooking. There after they are damped in about 2 hours until they are ready.

While the lam ribs are trimmed, thus single ribs the pork ribs are a huge piece with many ribs. This 1-2kg piece is placed in the oven for 1-2 hours.
Duke I went back and saw this I meant to say something about this and didn't have service for a bit and then you know how fast this thread is moving...anywho

That is awesome how long we're you living in Nazareth?
About the food.
turkey is a long tradition but you can never go wrong with ribs the lamb ribs would be good. We here in the south of America pride ourselves in some pork ribs its a staple and have ribs any chance we can get...I'm making myself hungry.... But by this time with all the big turkey dinners that have come about, when we get together with my wife's family on Christmas Eve we always have a huge fish fry with hush puppies and shrimp and potatoes and such it is awesome. Now I'm really hungry.

That's partly why I asked....there's a lot of fluff

i saw a youtube vid just now of them playing in britain. and one called heart of steel. is that the correct Galactic? if so they were pretty good. a bit too mellow for my taste but they were good. i liked the tone the guitarist had in the heart of steel song. and it wasnt too busy. very well balanced.
trombone shorty....not really my style either. but....whatever gets you movin.
where are you from. are you also from new orleans?

Heart of Steel is the right Galactic, from a great album, Ya Ka May. A video from Britain ? I didn't know they'd ever been over here ... waiting for when they get to the UK. So, no, I'm not from New Orleans, but with my current tastes I wish I was ... I'd be checking out those guys (plus Bonerama and a few more) at every opportunity.

I've always been country, country rock, and 70's rock. "Modern" country is not so different from "old" country. The lyrics are different, but the music hasn't changed much since the late 60's.

I've lived in a little town called Arad which is 25km form the Dead Sea. So i the middle of the Judea desert!! I've lived there until I was 21, and since then here in Norway, so half my life in the desert, half of my life in an arctic area...

Still, I have to learn the gain structure on this channel as it not as easy to sett as the Apogee. If I turm up the gain on the mic channel on iTrack until I get the green light it seems like I can overload the input in Jamup very fast. I've tried to use both the Ric and the Geddy with the B15 (which is the amp which nails my tone), but both give fuzzy distorted tone very fast, specially on the E and A string.
So, I miss something in the gain structure. As said, in Apogee it is just plug, sett gain to green, and then it seems to match the input gain in the app.
Must be something to do with this mic preamp in the 1st channel, or something to do with the PBDDI as a DI.
As you have noticed the volume on the iTrack clip is high, and the tone is fuller then on the Apogee.
Any way, I've more work to do with the iTrack and the gain structure
.
So the iTrack Solo does not work out of the box with Jamup?

I was thinking of picking up one of the iTrack interfaces, but may wait for now.

Managed today to dial the input on the iTrack. As I mentioned Jamup must use channel 1 which is the mic channel. I use my Sansamp PBDDI as a DI only, so it is bypassed. Living the gain knob on zero on channel one do the trick. Ignore the lack of green light. Tone is as good as with the Jamup but the are more possibilities with the iTrack and expect the need for a DI box the iTrack can give a very simple solution controlling the tone.
But, yes right out of the box the iTrack will only work with Garage Band on channel 2.

I set up a really cool preset today in Jamup, using the BDDI in front of the GK. With the gain dimed on the BDDI, but the blend at about 20%, you get a grindy, almost Alice in Chains kinda tone. With a P-bass it's slamming. Can't wait to use it with a loud drummer.

Can someone help please? I've got a griffin studio connect and it's awesome! I use audiobus to go from jamup into mtdaw but when I record the track and then play it back the effects and sound from jamup no longer exist and it's just the dry sound straight from my guitar as if it skipped jamup completely. Any suggestions?

I'm not sure about the effects because I don't have MTDAW yet, but I'm interested in the Griffin interface. Can you tell us more about it, please, and maybe some pix?

The more info we can cram into this thread, the better.
