How many cents off is the tuner in jamup flat or sharp if you know how much then we could all just tune to however much off it is.
I think a pedal is not so necessary and will occupy some space. The tuner do mute the system when used. The tuner is in addition easy to read etc. I think Positive Grid just need to improve the tracking. They could of course base it on a known pedal such as the polytune. Which be great, but I'll actually prefer the tuner to be implemented as it is today. But the tuner button should be a bit larger.
The next update will be great regarding the stomp boxes. By today Jamup is the only app which gives us the possibility to place a stomp box before or after the amp!
Got a chance to play through the pa tonight, and tweak things a bit more based on our recent discussions.
I'm still loving the Blueline, but I've got a great tone setup with the Redhead. In fact, I'm really digging every amp when played through a loud system. I even tried Jamup in front of my amp, and it made it sound better.
I posted a clip on Soundcloud that I did with Loopy, but it got messed up somehow. Still trying to work it out but apparently it works with headphones.
I've also had some odd issues when exporting a track from DM1 into the Loopy or the MT DAW. The track kind of got distorted and weird.
So, I am pretty certain I am going the iPad route instead of blowing tons of money on hardware while being a relatively poor student.
So, now my question is should I go for an iPad 3 or 4. I am certain that I need 64GB. If I am correct, the iPad 4 has a lot faster processor. I am planning to use the Audiobus app to run several apps at once (for electronica music) so getting an iPad 4 is worth the money right?
Are there good audio and midi interfaces for the 4 yet?

Welcome!!
The iPad 4 is definitely the more powerful machine, good choice.
As for interfaces, take some time to read through this thread. You'll find your answers in the first couple pages.
Hello, I am a new comer to iOS land. I'm currently using a Line 6 Mobile Keys and my iPhone as a mobile synth rig at home and would like to use it live. For those of you that use it as a live pre, do you need to use some sort of external pre to boost up the signal or does the board do the work for you?
Most of us are running either into a headphone amp or into a DI box to make sure the levels are all cohesive with the PA. Also helps the soundguy to be more likely to accept the fact that our bass amp is an iPhone/iPad!!
Not a lot of keyboard guys here, but welcome!! I'm sure you're not alone, stick around and I'll bet you get your answer.
Welcome!!

I read those pages. I get that to use existing stuff I will need a $30 lightning to 30 pin converter. I guess I should have been more specific. I need an interface that does 1/4" in, balanced outs, XLR, midi in and out, and USB since I need to have controllers, maybe use the iPad as a midi sequencer, etc.
It seems like most of the interfaces have a lot of mixed reviews.

iPad 4? Is there an iPad 4? As far as I know the iPad 3 is the newest.
But anyway, investing in the newest iDevice is always a smart move for running this kind of apps.
Bass is a Squier Affinity Jazz V, neck pickup soloed, tone rolled off.
Help me improve.
As Rip say, nice tone. I'm not sure which tone you are after. Usually when I play a cover I try to find a tone which merge into the song. But I do not know Snow, will have to look it up.
Anyway
On a Jazz bass, neck pup soloed gives you the P bass tone and lots of low-mids and lows, try to roll back the bridge. Usually both pups on 100% give a tone which is a bit mid scooped.
So, put the bridge pup on about 75% to bring back some tighter mids and lows. You can actually try to rub the bridge on 100% and the neck on 75-80% for even tighter tone.
Regarding your amp setup here is what I would try (the red marks.. ):
Your overall volume (up to the right) seem to me to be a bit too high. How are the color readings while you play? This slider is functioning as the output gain, so it should be kept a bit lower for the SVT BL. Well, at least for my experience.
Btw, you roll of your tone on the bass, but use the bright mode, why? The bright mode will bring more hiss. I usually have my tone control on my bass on full open(but I go for totally different tone!). Now, I love the bright mode, but not with the tone knob on the bass off. Put the tone on 50%, the bright mode will sound much nicer then regarding clarity.
In addition, if you cut the low (all the way to the right) your tone will be way more defined. To me this cut-low knob seem to cut the very lows, kind of like the ultra lows switch on the B15R. When you are not cutting the lows you will need to raise the output gain to compensate for volume loss, and by doing that you add boominess and hiss.
Well.... I need an other cup of coffee!! Prieto, your tone is nice and very vintage like. My suggestions are only base on what I would try, but it is not necessary what will work for you!!
In addition I play with a pick, which makes things a bit different.
Happy tone hunting

A keyboard player is most welcome!! We might need one for some collaboration project.
