| | (a.k.a. Black Bart) | | | | | Been lurking for a little while now, but just wanted to say thanks for all the information being shared here. Thus far I have loaded DM1, Loopy, Jamup Pro XT with the bass pack and have an Apogee Jam on the way (already use a Duet II so it was a natural choice.)

Make your drum beat in DM1, then use Audiopaste to import it into Loopy and add more loops with Jamup. |

The tascam iU2 looks like it would do what you are trying to accomplish. With modding in and out and digital outs too. I think it's two channel with XLR and 1/4 instrument ins. It does however use 30 pin so you would need a lightning to 30 pin adapter. The digital outs would also work with your desktop it has s/pdif outs and USB outs with phantom power for condenser mica if needed. Looks like a good one but shop around you may find something better.

Not a lot of keyboard guys here, but welcome!! I'm sure you're not alone, stick around and I'll bet you get your answer. | Yeah we need some keyboard folk to give there input here just like other instruments I know this is talkbass but as much input from all point of view is sorely needed

My interface is the Line 6 mobile In, it works and works well with Jamup, GarageBand, Ampkit, Amplitude, Mobile Pod ( of course ) and Pocket GK with no issues and no latency that I can tell.

Evil-g | The latency was one thing that reviews have said was a problem. Good to see a user without any problems. The Line 6 interface is one of the less expensive 30 -pin interfaces. |

DM1 doesn't support Audiobus yet, so if you want to use DM1 to make your beats, you need to save your beat in the app (so you don't lose it), then go to the "Tools" tab, hit "Export" and the option of using Audiocopy will come up. Pick Loopy as your destination, and there you have it, your beat is now in Loopy!! |

The options are there to make full recordings right on your iOS device.
Or if you like, you can use it as a simple practice tool.
I do both. I have a dedicated digital recorder but most times it's just more convenient to pick up my iPhone and record my ideas there. |

Instead, the question is now,"How do I do this?" |
