Right now, my only reason for having my iPod Touch is to use for this kind of stuff. Would be nice to use my (quad-core) Android tablet.... | Android have latency problems, that is why there are no such apps for android |

As you know, if you have a single core iOS device, like the iPhone 4 (not S) you can't run JamUp XT and MTD via AudioBus. So I was bummed out when ADB came out and I couldn't get it to work.
The whole idea of ADB was to route your signal from your input (Apogee Jam in my case), through your emulation app (JamUp XT) and into a recorder (MTD). The reasoning was that JamUp's recorder was not up to par with ATs... but recording to MTD via ADB eliminated this limitation.
Well, turns out you don't need AudioBus at all if you don't want to use it....
Just make sure that JamUp XT is set for background mode. Open JamUp XT, set your signal chain, and put JamUp in the background. Launch MultiTrack DAW, and arm a track, you can select your Jam (or other input interface). Record away!
I just tried that and it works. No longer do I have to record via the iPhone's headphone jack to an external DAW and introducing more noise into the signal.
I'm going to read the MultiTrack DAW manual and see what the various options are.
This is cool! | Very cool! You will not be able to jump fast between the apps, but you will manage to use both, well done! |

Do-it-yourself IEMs with triple drivers. High, mid, and low. DIY for well under $200. Looks like, if you can do basic soldering, you can make a set. I'm planning to try making myself a set after Christmas. | Not me but one HiFi folks swear by their need for 5-35000Hz.... |

The OS itself is based on Linux. If something about the current base that is used for Android has a fundamental latency problem, it seems like Google would fix it without much problem.
Is it the current kernel that is being used that is the problem? It seems like I remember reading something about Android possibly upgrading to a new generation of the Linux kernel soon and maybe that would address the latency issues?
In the meantime, STBM.

Well, I think some triple driver IEMs that get somewhere close to 20-20k will be just fine for me....

But, there are way too many stories of Line 6's complete lack of customer service (and my own corroborating experience when the belt clip broke off my G30) for me to choose that Mobile In versus spending the extra $20 for the Apogee Jam.

I like GuitarJack because you can record two tracks at a time, same with Line 6. Seems like iriffport is out of the running because of the headphone issue. I'll pick the Apogee interface up.
Most of my recording I'm using the Alesis IO Dock, I need the interface for when I don't want to be tethered to one area. |

I just stumbled on a really cool sound. Remember how we use the Envelope Filter in AT to create an extra tone? Try that with the Mutron!!
I recorded it on my external recorder so I can't share my exact tone, but set it up much the same way as the Env Filter and you'll see what I mean.
