Thank you both and anything else you can tell me would be great. Learning new systems is the least amount of fun to me. And thanks to you all I have now had to learn 3 new ones because of you all telling me about Jamup, Audiobus and DAW Mt. Thanks a lot!
Thanks Rip. When I hit source do I hit Mic or Jamup? They both show in the list but the mic is the only one making a signal come through. Just want to make sure if I hit mic it is filtering through jamup first.
You hit Jamup as it is last in the chain before hitting the track (in this instance, anyway).

Don't mention it. Glad we could add to your insanity. Lol.
This is why I haven't bought mt daw yet in the hopes of GarageBand being what I was hoping it would be. But I haven't done any clips since the release of the jamup bass pack. I haven't even attempted to use jamup's jam and loop section. I could do a clip of the dual showman tonight at practice if anyone wants to hear it.
Of course we want to hear

I think TB should make an IOS section. So all things related to IOS use could be directed/listed there.
Who would need to be contacted to make something like adding another section to the forum?

At the rate we add to these threads, they're going to need to upgrade the server!
I do agree. In time, I think we'll see the need as more and more threads develop. If not iOS specific, at least a section that is technologically/computer oriented and so covers the gamut: PC, MAC, digital interfaces, etc.
TB will do it when they see a need - they're watching.

The Jam came in the mail today. WOAH! After a couple of hours noodling between it and the Mobilein I also picked up (soon returned), I can easily say it is much better, if for no other reason than the cabling and simplicity of connection. The Mobilein has an awkward connection, no external gain control, and no USB input. The sound quality is also much better as it seems that I have a much broader range of possible tones. I can't explain why that would be, however at first blush, that's my experience.
The biggest thing I've noticed is the Redhead. Because it is the cleanest amp, you can really crank the bass and the master volume.
The other amps are much clearer with the Jam, like it really opens up the EQ spectrum or something. Everything just sounds BETTER, it's impossible to place just one way. The Redhead is my new favorite. I'm addicted to that clean low end.
And if you put the LA-2A after it, you get this really cool squishee-ness that you can hear in the clip above.
After listening back to it, of course you can tell I'm using rounds, but I think the gain is too high on the B15. I was going for that Motown kinda plugged into the board/ B15 kinda tone.
Maybe JimmyM can gimme some pointers. I'm getting ready to start jamming with an acoustic guitarist, so I'm trying to get a tone that'll work we'll for that. That squished early 70's sound really makes my ears happy.
By the way, that was indeed a P-bass with rounds, tone backed off but IMO not quite enough.
In waiting for these D'Addarios to go dead so I can change them out for a set of Chromes I've got waiting. All of my other basses wear flats as well. My second in line is a SCPB, so I'm still finding the need to use the noise filter in Jamup, but it sounds too good to give up.

Sub'd. Can you transfer your JamUp expansion packs from iPhone to iPad and vice-versa?
Yup. Click on the STORE tab along the bottom of the app and then just choose of of the store options. In the upper right corner will be the RESTORE PURCHASES option. That will add everything you have purchased to the device you are working with.

Here's a clip of the dual showman at practice tonight in Amplitube the hiss drove me insane cause as soon as i went back to Jamup for the rest of the night.....no hiss.
I tried to make it as clear as possible to hear the amp sim so I used no pedals or mastering fx

I got the JamUp XT version on my iPhone and plugged it into my keyboard amp with my fretless. I was never clear how much amp control I really had although the effects definitely worked. The preset banks were a great feature. Still holding out on buying the bass pack because it's hard to envision how I'd use this live... whereas with my Macbook Pro it's pretty clear to me how I would do it right.
Can I get some opinions on using JamUp or other iOS devices live? I'm talking full signal chain front to back... One thing I'm conflicted about right now is how you have to use the headphone out so this means you would have to take up the I/O port on the laptop or an external mixer. If you use the I/O I can't use it for my software instruments controlled by my keyboard so that's a no go...

That's awesome. Keep it up with the reports. I played through Jamup /Audiobus/MTDAW for about two hours straight yesterday afternoon, and on my 4S the battery drain wasn't bad at all. I can't imagine it being an issue if you're smart about it. If you're playing a bar gig, just top off your charge between sets.
