I would still expect that it's more likely to be something going on between the apps.
IIRC, other people have mentioned occasionally needing to stop and restart apps in a particular sequence when running MTDAW and Audiobus.

Did you check the real source button in MT to make sure it's on Jamup and not mic? |

But it is a great app regardless. Now if i can just figure out how to work mtDaw better I will be happy.
One other app question when using Loopy (which I do not have yet) in mtDAW can you streach the loop out as far as you want say 3.5 minutes? I tried copy and paste of a loop I made in Easybeats2 and when pasted it was just the small loop and it would not strech and I could not get it to slide into place and then just paste more and more of the sample. |

I will have to keep messing with it. |

Didn't know they could be stretched.
DM1 does a good job at this because it allows you to export the loop via Audiocopy/paste. By doing it this way, it's pretty easy to get things lined up.
Your first loop is the "master" loop. If you use the metronome sometimes it makes it easier, though I'm not sure if it'll bleed into your track with the Irig. |

| | Registered User guitar builder, Meyers Guitars | | Join Date: Mar 2012 Location: Spartanburg SC | | by streching I mean once you copy/paste the loop/sample in the track you can drag one side of it and it will re-loop it over and over across the track. So it will be a loop for as many minutes and seconds that you want in the track. I could do this in Reason and Acid before that computer died on me . At this point it looks like I will have to copy paste a 2 second loop 105 times in a 3.5 minute song (I think)? |

So I went in to mtDAW and I have to copy/paste the sample the 105 times but I figured out how to slide them where I need it. So that part I am now good on. |

So if you do what you are saying just run the sample through Loopy then record it for as long as you want in mtDAW? Loopy just becomes the sound source for that track? |

Rip had mentioned you might need to start up MTDAW and JAMUP and then start up Audiobus to avoid a potential glitch.
I had trouble trying to record using MTDAW and Jamup with Audiobus. My sound changed a bit also. I'm also using the iRig like you. I recorded some stuff last night into Garageband on my Mac with the iRig into iPhone and Jamup. There were no problems with signal or the sound changing so my opinion is it's something going on between apps. Either caused by AudioBus or MTDAW. |

And you're not limited to just running one beat like I've done so far. You've got up to 12 loops available, use em. Program a different beat for choruses, pre choruses, breakdowns....
It would take some practice and some serious prep work, but if you can get into the mindset of playing Loopy like an instrument, and record it in MTDAW,you have one badass machine. |

Open all your apps, then minimize them.
Open Audiobus and make your connections. Minimize Audiobus and forget about it.
Switch between apps the old fashioned way. |

It was hard to keep myself under control throughout the song but I knew I had a spot at the end where the guitars would cover most of it. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
