I must say, I know very little about Kiss music... even less then AC/DC!!!
I think I'll recognize only one Kiss song on the radio if I've heard it!!!!
I see that there is quite much I need to learn about!

I like the Multitarck DAW much better then the multitrack on GB. I find Audiobus with Jamup, Sunrize, Thumjam and DrumJam to be much easier and faster to work with then GB.

While GB have LOTS of options, I find it still "slow" and a bit limited, not to mention no real good bass tone.

It works in principle but the range of motion is limited so it limits the effect. If there was a "calibrate/zero" option it would probably work a little better.

Hell yeah!! Duff plays some great stuff on Appetite. I also liked what he played in Velvet Revolver.

I'm really stoked. The guitar player from the other day called me again today. Something I played on Sunday must've impressed him, because he really wants to work with me.

That's cool because that's exactly what I was lacking. I need a musical "partner" to bounce ideas off and to write songs with. It's cool jamming alone and all, but the drum machines get sterile and eventually I need to play with actual people!!

So I'm working on a bank of presets for lower key, acoustic music. It's just gonna be him and I until we find a drummer, so my presets will have to reflect that. Plus, I'd really like to find a tone OTHER THAN the Redhead that works for me!!

I love the Redhead, but the funny thing is that it's NOTHING like what would normally be "my tone". I usually go for a much rawer sound, more in line with Ampeg or GK. But for some reason I keep coming back to the Redhead. It's just a nice safe, CLEAN sound.

The B15 is probably gonna work out well for this, too.

I guess I'll be posting a new round of clips, with me playing along to acoustic guitars instead of the creepy stuff I've been posting!!

Absolutely....I and a coworker of mine were discussing the g-n-r bunch today since they were just inducted into the rock and roll hall of fall. Slash and duff are the one two punch the two of them work so well together VR was also great of course I'm a huge fan of stp too the DeLeo brothers were also a great duo
Here's Robert

I've always liked GNR, and much was due to Duff.
Even though I feel like nobody is even close to Chris Squire regarding all aspects of being a bass player, Duff was always unique among bass players within heavy rock/ metal/ or whatever GNR are. Duff have great tone and plays way more melodic then many others.
His tone is also "his tone". That is why Amplitube should have the Duff pack beside the Slash pack.
Axel, Slash and Duff are really something together.

Talking about Duff. Does he use the RB800 or the 700? He probably did use the 800 in the early days.
It will be nice if Positive Grid add the missing features into the RB K800 or... Just add the 700 with the bi- amp / tweeter feature, the GIVE/ boost channel and such.
Does Duff use any pedals?

Here is a great American bass player, which I suspect you guys are not aware of! Dave Meros of Spock's Beard:

He use Eden live and Amplitube (desktop) in Studio.

The Redhead is indeed so lovely, not really an aggressive amp, but still there is some grit and the tone can be quite throaty. The SWR seems to bring ,iChat of the natural tone of the bass, and that is why it fits so well with the Ric!!
One only need to remember that e gain should be at least above 70-80% !!

Saw this in another thread and wondered if any of you guys using a iPad for playing out had seen it.

Music Stand Conversion

Looked real interesting. I wonder if the stand helps with cable issues. The ForScore app is $5.

Just trying to give back for the help y'all have given me

The Circle, draft 6.

Added guitar towards the end. Now I've only one section with only bass, it is the most tricky section.

These are nice....the c-clamp is a little scary holding all the weight on top of the round stand extension bar.... I can't remember what brand off the top of my head but there is one out there that is made just like a mic holding clip to where it screws on top of the mic boom (its probably IK's) the only reason I haven't gone out and got one of these is that every time I would go to use it I would have to take my iPad out of its protective case and then repackage it afterward. I know that's kinda silly to be worried about such a small amount of time that takes. It's just another haste at the moment for me when setting up and tearing down. If I didn't have a sturdy music stand I would seriously look into getting one

This is cool..... Very Pink Floyd-ish to me.
That's, I'm sure, not what you were shooting for but it just reminded me of a few of there songs

Not very surprised by this list.
The Metallica song is for sure (in Norway) a very popular song among 16-17 years old bass players.
For my part... I actually have no idea how the Greenday, Alice in the chains, Red Hot Chili pepper, Megadeth and Black Sabbath sound like from the name of the song. I might recognize them if I've heard them....

I must say, I sometimes feel like a bit of an outsider among you guys. Most of you are from the US and knows well many of the American bands and names. In addition I haven't listened at all to any kind of metal/ heavy rock or super heavy stuff.
