For my part... I actually have no idea how the Greenday, Alice in the chains, Red Hot Chili pepper, Megadeth and Black Sabbath sound like from the name of the song. I might recognize them if I've heard them....
I must say, I sometimes feel like a bit of an outsider among you guys. Most of you are from the US and knows well many of the American bands and names. In addition I haven't listened at all to any kind of metal/ heavy rock or super heavy stuff. | Don't feel bad you are for sure not an outsider here. the videos connected to the songs are there if you want to hear them. This list probably was voted on by a very heavily populated US voter base.
I'm sure this list would be different if the website was on a heavily populated Norwegian server.

I totally disagree with this list.
No Anesthesia (Pulling teeth).
No Higher Ground.
Nothing by Duck.

Totally exhausted but the pain from the surgery is too intense to continue laying down. They had to cut through some muscle between my shoulder blades in order to remove the SCS leads. The result is a longer recovery time and increased pain. I've never felt anything like this, and I've already been through quite a lot.
So I get up, hit TB for a few, then throw on some headphones. It's too soon for me to play bass (even my coffee cup is too heavy right now). So I fired up DM1, and started building loops for my next clip. I think this might be the one I use for the "cookoff". I'm working on a full song, and since I've got a musical partner now, it's probably gonna turn into something a lot cooler than I would've created alone. I've been in kind of a stagnant period lately, so the addition of a writing partner is a blessing.
Can't wait to start writing with this guy. He seems to share my vision and is very open to all of my ideas.
Anyway, back to the drums. I may add keys before the rest of the house wakes up!! |

I'm a bit stuck with The Circle and my last part. I'm trying to figure a drum loop for that. Not an easy task for a non drummer!!! Maybe I'll ask a friend of mine which is a drummer to play something on DrumJam.
I'm quite happy about the guitar part I've after the section with the drums and before the very last part. I've used Thumbjam to play the guitar. But the guitar on Thunbjam is quite wimpy, so I actually used Jamup as an effect between Thumbjam and MT DAW!!! I used the JCM800 to gain some more drive out of the guitar in Thumbjam!
Using Jamup as an effect for Thumbjam or Sunrizer reaaly opens up for possibilities. Think about the John Lord organ tone? I need to find a decent organ tone in Sunrize or Thumbjam, then run it through an amp like the Marshall Plexiglass for that overdriven tone! |

Sunrizer's sounds are so good that I haven't even tried running them through Jamup yet. But I have edited a few patches to make them better suit my needs. My former guitar player had a Korg Karma keyboard, and I learned how to program that, so I'm able to understand the pages of menus in Sunrizer. |

The metronome is about 105, but the problem is that I play many notes which have this triplets feel, not easy with the DM1 or at least for me as I can not play drums!! |

In the meantime, once everyone wakes up, I'll see if I can program something for you and send it to your email. |

Thanks for the help. |

His tone is also "his tone". That is why Amplitube should have the Duff pack beside the Slash pack.
Axel, Slash and Duff are really something together.
Talking about Duff. Does he use the RB800 or the 700? He probably did use the 800 in the early days.
It will be nice if Positive Grid add the missing features into the RB K800 or... Just add the 700 with the bi- amp / tweeter feature, the GIVE/ boost channel and such.
Does Duff use any pedals? | this from wikipedia: McKagan's longtime main bass was a mid-'80s Japanese Fender Jazz Bass Special, which features an ash body, a maple neck, and a rosewood fretboard. McKagan currently uses it only during studio recordings. Several copies of this bass were built by the Fender Custom Shop in the original and various other finishes to be used on tour. In 2007, Fender replicated and released this bass as the Duff McKagan Signature P Bass.[52] In the past, McKagan used Kramer basses, and at one time had a Kramer endorsement. He can be seen playing a Kramer bass in the video for the 1988 Guns N' Roses hit "Sweet Child o' Mine". McKagan has also used the Fender Aerodyne Jazz Bass, the Duesenberg Star Bass, the Gibson Les Paul bass, and the Gibson Thunderbird bass. He uses Seymour Duncan pickups and RotoSound swingbass strings.
McKagan also plays an acoustic Guild guitar, which can be heard on various songs, including "Patience" by Guns N' Roses. On Velvet Revolver's 2007-2008 tour, he used a Gibson J-200 Pete Townshend signature acoustic guitar. Among his electric guitars are a Fender Telecaster, used on the tour supporting his debut solo album, Believe in Me, several GMP guitars used with Neurotic Outsiders, a selection of Gibson Les Paul models, and two Japanese Burny models. McKagan has used Gallien-Krueger amplifiers throughout his career; his first a GK400RB model. With Guns N' Roses, he used up to four Gallien-Krueger 800RB heads with GK 4x10 and 1x15 cabinets. His current set-up includes a Gallien-Krueger solid state 2001RB head fed to four GK 4x10RBH cabinets. McKagan usually uses a chorus effect, most often a Yamaha SPX-90 and occasionally a Boss pedal.[53] Other effects he has used are the Z.Vex Woolly Mammoth fuzz and an MXR M-80. For guitar amplification, he uses a Marshall JCM800 2204 head hotrodded by Bogner, which he nicknamed the "Seattle Head".
