that sounds rough
i was in a car accident a few years back that broke two ribs tore many back muscles and punctured a lung. the pain of moving anything and not having the strength in your arms without shooting pains that almost make you yell if it weren't for the pain that takes your breath and tenses you to the point that no sound will come out until after the pain gets to the point of releasing the tension to let you breathe and allow sound to come out again. and not to mention just getting up and down out of sitting position. im feeling for ya and praying for ya. if thats ok with you.

hopefully your kids and wife can be your runners to get you what you need while laying far back in the recliner: like food and drink, bass, boom mic stand, PA from downstairs, TV, remote, phone charger.......
and keep that irig far away as possible.

There are much more lows on the tap of the Redhead and the Metal Zone with some adjustments of the knobs. |

Right now I can't move my arms behind the plane of my body, which translates into my right arm can't rest on the body of my bass while sitting. Plus, the weight of the bass itself makes it impossible to even get into playing position. Even a glass of water feels too heavy!!! |

Didn't feel like the spirit and the warmth of the Redhead was gone with the Metal Zone. |

There are much more lows on the tap of the Redhead and the Metal Zone with some adjustments of the knobs. | The Metal Zone is gonna be my next pedal purchase. The one thing I dislike about distortion/overdrive pedals is that they most times only have very simple tone controls, and I need to be able to adjust them more than that. The Metal Zone's EQ is just what will work for me.
Have you seen the need to run noise filters with it? |

Have you seen the need to run noise filters with it? | Not really. I never use noise filters, so if you do hear noise, then it is not there!
In addition my highs are usually boosted and the tone knob on my bass is almost always fully open. |

I had to drag my bass across the floor to do it, but I was able to play for a few minutes!! Only a quick couple of riffs, but it's a start.
Can't wait to get back on my feet so I can get the new band going and show everyone my new bass rig!! |

We'll be previewing AmpKit 1.6 at NAMM, including two significant new features: stereo effects and Audiobus support. AmpKit 1.6 will be stereo-enabled, so effects like reverb, delay, and modulations like phasers and flangers, will all be deliciously rendered in stereo. AmpKit 1.6 will integrate with Audiobus, supporting all three Audiobus roles—input, effect, and output. AmpKit's already-diverse tonal options increase tenfold when fed to or from a range of exciting synthesizers, instrument generators, multitrack recorders, and other apps via Audiobus.
Rip, that really suck you have to live with so much pain! I have an friend and his son has a similar situation. I really hope you start feeling better soon. |

I did however like some of the guitar amps on Ampkit for bass and I really like the metronome on Ampkit, the very best out there! |

Looked up Ampkit and it looks like not much difference for us between free and paid versions. Its as expensive as buying Jamup and the Bass pack. I bought JamUp b/c I think it's important to pay people when they create things you like.
Apparently they are coming out with an Amplink HD, which must be all the rage for naming conventions with the new iRig HD coming out. Apogee just needs to come out with a Jam HD now. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
