The result is the ability to control functions of an app, such as AmpliTube or JamUp Pro XT Amp Effects Processor, in the middle of a performance without having to fumble around your iOS device’s touchscreen. It will work with apps on your Mac, too.
It’s also possible to fully customize the MIDI messages that are sent out by the four switches and two optional expression pedals. It’s easy to setup iRig BlueBoard to control patch changes, effects parameters, reverb, delay on/off – or any parameter that can be controlled via MIDI."
Given the rate at which developers and others are releasing apps and updates, I give it less than a month before JamUp and others start posting new BlueBoard-specific customizations... | This is actually the first I've heard about the Blueboard being anything other than proprietary to IK. Wasn't meaning it as a slag at all, but some kind of an appearance by IK could surely clear it all up.
Every picture we've seen so far shows a VERY IK looking patch editor for the Blueboard, and going off past experiences, that usually means it works for Amplitube ONLY.
I've long since let go of any ill will towards IK. I've got my setup, and I'm very happy with it.

Sorry, too many posts to read the whole thread but I heard something about a bass expansion pack? | Yes, there's a bass expansion available as an in-app purchase for $9.99. It's totally worth it.
But if you're not interested in all the guitar amps and pedals, just get the free version and add the stuff you want. |

When recording my guitar parts they come in very handy, indeed. But if you're strictly a bassist, then my earlier suggestion might be best.
You kinda gotta gauge what you want out of your iOS system. A few of us get really into recording our stuff, so the more amps and pedals the better.
If you're just gonna use it to play live, you may not need all the bells and whistles. |

| | | | I was thinking more of an intense practice unit that fits in my pocket.
With the ability to write/record/learn stuff without having an amp or my studio handy.

There will soon be a bass expansion 2
I also don't have any bad will toward IK because I want to see them excel but I know positive grid (jamup) will come out with their bass bundle 2 before IK puts out another 1 bass amp. That is sad. I wish nothing but good things for Brian and the crew but they are losing the game right now.
