Non of them have a drum kit at the moment. I want though to see if I manage to solve the drums issue by my own, thus I want to learn more about that. I've noticed that lately I actually listen more to what is going on with the drums on various songs.
The google translation is not bad. I've wrote våt instead of vårt, missed the R... Which gives wet instead of our. |

There will soon be a bass expansion 2
I also don't have any bad will toward IK because I want to see them excel but I know positive grid (jamup) will come out with their bass bundle 2 before IK puts out another 1 bass amp. That is sad. I wish nothing but good things for Brian and the crew but they are losing the game right now. | I'm not sure if IK look on the bass player market as a significant profit. PG is smaller and sees more opportunity in us, I think. But I also have the feeling that PG actually cares for us and it also seems to me that the persons behind PG have more passion for their business. IK on the other hand is driven today to a much larger extent by economy folks, well that is my feeling about this matter. |

Check out some YouTube video drum lessons and learn the basics. Nothing is more distracting than a drum track that is so complex that it couldn't be played by a real drummer.
When programming drums we have a tendency to overplay, just because we forget that a real drummer only has two arms and two legs.
Just try to stay aware of this, and make sure that your drum beats can be played by one real human, and they'll turn out fine. (I'm still working on drums for Circle, but I'll hold onto my version until you finish yours) |

Tapping the bass drum with the foot and open high hats with the foot helped me to find a grove between the two. Same with the high hat and snare. I found the using all four limbs helped with my sense of timing and work with the drummer by thinking like one. After my first trap set I was able to put the air drums into practice.

The biggest thing to take away from that is that it's very important to learn what is possible to play on one drum set with one drummer.
That way, nobody listens back to your track and comments about the mutant four armed drummer!! |

I picked up an ART Dual Pre USB last night, and was wondering if the camera kit works to connect the ART interface to Jamup, if so, how is the sound quality? It will be replacing my Irig plug. I believe this was covered before awhile ago but wasn't sure of the actual results with the ART interface.
I use the iPad first gen and iPhone 3GS for Jamup, and Logic Pro 9 for the Mac. Was hoping to achieve better results compared to the iRig plug and my old Line 6 Guitar Port.
Thanks!

How they grow, what they do during that growth, is a huge factor. Let's hope Positive Grid remembers the bassists when they're no longer a Ma and Pop's shop (don't forget that IK was Ma 'n Pa as well, years ago).
It's an ever-changing industry driven by fickle consumers who are constantly demanding more (just read all these threads!) and we're just a [fickle] drop in that bucket.
Agreed on the drums tracks...less is often quite 'more better.' Quote:

The caveat is that there are two purchases to make: the Art and the CCK. If you already have one, or need one for other purposes, the investment should be sound (no pun intended).

Thanks! | The ART dual pre should give you superior sound compares to the old iRig. You need CCK, just wait until Adam wakes up, he is the one that use the ART unit. But you know, Adam needs his beauty sleep, so it will be at least a couple of hours he wakes up |

(Photo from Namm) | Looks to be just MIDI stuff. Probably wouldn't play well with most of our interfaces. |

Does anyone know if there were any new significant developments at NAMM from an iOS perspective? Any visibility at all?

I've been trying to find stuff from NAMM myself, so I'll post if I see anything. |

How's about a nice 15 or 30 band rack style EQ?
Bonus points for the inclusion of a high pass filter. |

Anywho....yep
CCK. the sound after using the art into your iPad (only....it will not work with the iPhone) (it's after all called "the iPad camera connection kit") will make you throw that iRig in your gig bag and never want to plug that thing in ever again.
