I had the same issue with Audiobus, Loopy and Jamup when I was using the Irig adapter. Its frustrating as hell. In headphones everything is there but on export the levels are so low there's nothing but distortion. Yup. Irig. |

| | | I am indeed using the iRig. However, i'm struggling to comprehend how the adaptor is the issue. The recording play back on stereo devices [headphone and stereo speakers] but not through mono speaker [iPhone external]. The sound also sounds a little odd through stereo speakers too, almost like it is surround sound rather than stereo, difficult to explain: https://soundcloud.com/thumbbassgk/s...-track/s-Olsqr |

I never did find out exactly what is causing it, but it's something to do with the headphone/mic jack. |

On MT-DAW the reverb is on by default, maybe turning it off will help. |

If you go back on my Soundcloud, there are a few clips where I was having the same problem. Any tracks that use the Irig have this weird distortion to them and the levels are ridiculously low. |

I do remember you having probs with iRig and mtdaw compatibility.
But while seeing the wave form it was looking like a repeated drum loop too that's what was confusing me.
I got it. I'm better now
Hopefully the shut down and restart/reset helped.

Any track that uses the Irig will be extremely low level and distorted. |

Any track that uses the Irig will be extremely low level and distorted. | I still don't know if this can be solely blamed on the iRig though. I think it has something to do with MTDAW combined with iRig. I've used the iRig with my mac and there are no such problems present.
Something else to consider if you aren't hearing your bass. There is an apparent phasing issue in Jamup where you may not be able to hear your bass if listening on a mono speaker with a stereo input. My mackie srm150 monitor has a stereo component in but I have to pull the left or right channel to hear anything recorded from jamup. |

| | | | That clip was using loopy, not mtdaw. Using a mono instrument cable into irig>jamup>loopy via audiobus |
02-12-2013, 03:28 PM
| | | | ..and the drum loop I created in DM1, again recorded on loopy through audiobus |

I had Loopy and MTDAW issues with Irig. As soon as I got the Jam all my problems stopped.
I'm pretty sure it was in part one of this thread that it happened, and I vented my frustrations here so it's there to compare notes. |

Thumbjam is a very nice complementary to Sunrize!
Even Rudess use Thumbjam http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wobyvhdua28 |

I normally use apps like this to lay down drum and rhythm tracks, but the horns in Thumbjam intrigue me. |

Well, I do have a Ric and the iTrack Solo which have dual input. In addition Both Jamup and MT DAW support dual input from the iTrack so I feel this function should be covered. The problem is that for doing Ric-O-Sound I will need to use an hardware pedal. My plan is to use my Grumbass distortion pedal which is a dedicated bass pedal between the Ric bridge pup and the left channel in the iTrack, while the neck pup will go strait into the right channel in the iTrack.
But you know what, never mind, I've an idea for an all iOS Ric O Sound! |

Not sure if it'll work but if it does, it'll be awesome. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
