While JamUp and the like are totally awesome, admittedly, some of the specific sims make me GAS for real deal, too. Of course, that single-digit price tag is lovely.

The iPad Pro will have 16 CPU cores, 8 GPU cores, 2 USB, 2 FireWire interfaces, 2 XLR and 3 tubes!!!
1 12ax7 on each XLR/ mic preamp
1 12au7 in the preamp of the headphone amp
The iPad Pro will include a 24bit 192kHz A/D and D/A converters.
The iPad Pro will have a carry weight which is under 6kg!!! So still much lighter then a tube amp.

Plugged it in, and for my simple usage (good quality outputs without adaptors), it immediately worked perfectly. I'm happy, this will make gig setup simpler and easier.
I'll report back on DAW, MIDI and synth use as I get into that. |

I am still hunting for something decent for my iPad4. Probably just going to get a Lexicon Omega and camera kit.
I need Sysex as well as IOs, Midi, XLR etc |

So say I start some samples playing from IAC. While those samples are playing, I want to trigger some sounds in Animoog or something similar, either onscreen or through MIDI. Will Audiobus allow me to do that? |

Works great on my iPad, but when I plug it into my 4th gen iPod Touch, the microphone activates and the app uses that as a source instead of my bass. I've checked all the connections several times, everything is super snug.
I E-Mailed support and got a quick response, but so far no luck. Anybody have any similar issues or ideas? |

My guess something to do with the on/ off function of the internal mic in the iPod.
What was the response from Positive Grid support, btw?

It turns out that I had the master volume WAY low on my presets in Jamup. So when I recorded the guitar tracks (using the factory presets) they were fine, but when I added bass (using MY settings), the bass was too quiet in MT DAW.
I'm still completely on board with the Audiobus/Jamup/MT DAW combo. It is by far the easiest way to record in iOS.
I was able to slap together a five track demo in less than ten minutes from starting the app for the first time. It oil me ten minutes just to FIND the recorder in Amplitube!! Not really, but MT DAW is really easy to use!! Lol. |

The more I read the more enthralled I became. Apogee Jam came UPS yesterday. I loaded Jam XT with bass expansion pack, hooked up my Washburn Taurus T-25, Ipad output to my PA and I was lay'n down with the best of the contemporary Christian music world. I'd have never believed what this setup can do if it had not been for this thread. I'm planning to go Ipad to house mixer at practice Sunday afternoon. I think the options are almost unlimited.
Funny side, I called my wife back to where I was practicing last night telling her she was going to see the neatest thing since sweet potato fries, I started the music, joined in on bass, and was just about doing the snoopy dance, I look at her and she says, “yeah so?” Either she had no idea or else she always expects wonderful things out me.
Thanks again, I'm a kid at Christmas. Bill
