It is, though I'm not sure it will do sampling. If it does (I'm not huge on synths so I'm still figuring out this one!), I haven't found it yet.
Sunrizer is THE synth, though. The sound is so good you'll think you're playing a full-sized keyboard!! The first time I hit a key, it reminded me of my old guitar player's Korg Karma. The sounds are THAT good.
I just wish I was a better keyboard player. When I finally figure out how to program sequences, it's gonna be awesome!! For now, I'm using it mostly for background pads. Amazing app, though, if you know what you're doing with synths.
Primarily for recording demos for me; I have the iTrack, iPad 2, Garage Band, and Ableton Live Lite (came with the iTrack - but it is PC only). The recordings sound pretty clean into Garage Band:
Finally I could try Loopy HD + Apogee Jam and sounds good for practicing, the sound quality is not perfect but the tool is very simple imo.
I thought there would be an export option inside Loopy to send directly via iTunes/email or whatever just to be able to play elsewhere. Hoy could I do this? I know some guys were talking about Audio Copy/Paste and Audiobus.
Was this in response to my question?
Sunrizer is a synth, it doesn't play back samples. There are several synth apps I can use. I need an audiobus compliant sample playback app (where I can import my own samples of course).

I don't think there is one. Yet.
Keep an eye on the apps tab in Audiobus. They've been adding apps pretty quickly.
OK thanks, that's what I thought. I've been through the list of compliant apps, but I thought maybe one of them had features I didn't know about. This is pretty exciting stuff, I can't wait for the apps to really mature!
Cool video. I still prefer the chick that they have on the Loopy site. I just like her song better.
As for the pedals, there's definitely some midi switching going on here. Not sure about any of it, but he's doing some stuff with his feet and that Behringer midi board.
Question: is there a simple app you guys would like to see on IOS that doesn't yet exist? I'm starting to look at app development, and I want to do something music related.

Ok, misunderstood you there, regarding the synth vs samples. Thumbjam have sampler capability, I think, but maybe very limited.

You know I'm a bass player, if you ask me what kind of a keyboard my bandmate has I'll say, red or blue..... Just like a guitar player will answer what kind of bass his bass player use: it has long neck and it is white...
Just kidding I would know the difference between a Moog Taurus and a mini moog!
Something dedicated to BASS. There's too many apps already where bass is an afterthought at best.
Even Jamup is guitar first, even though their bass gear is the best in town.
We need a dedicated bass tuner. Every iOS tuner app is aimed at guitar, only Polytune work well for bass, but it isn't compatible with 30-pin input.
And a envelope filter pedal that works RIGHT (Jamup is the only good one so far). And an Octaver that tracks on bass.
Here's a thought. An app that is compatible with other "sim" apps, that lets you add pedals to your existing setup, while working independently of the host app.

???
The Peterson app is 30x more accurate than a Boss pedal tuner. It didn't track the open low strings very well using the internal mic (remember that 250Hz HPF?), but you should find it very accurate with the Jam...
I'll check it out. I've been using the Polytune app since it was first released but it doesn't work with the Jam, so in searching for a new one.
The tuner in Jamup just kinda sucks. I think it's the ONLY thing in Jamup that I don't like!!
Yeah that is a little annoying that is the only complaint I could come up with about jamup if I was looking for something......the tuner needle jumps around like crazy sometimes.....and doesn't seem to be totally accurate. Which could be fixed somewhat easily I imagine (but I'm not a programmer or developer so I have clue about how easy of a fix that would be) like a calibration of some sort is needed.

It was mentioned that in the other bass iOS thread that people were getting lost a bit....and we should "diversify" so just to let others know that there is a "b15 sim in iOS" related thread we had started that deals mostly with tones an settings and clips from duke and rip and myself and others of course.......
We should maybe start other iOS based threads to sort out some of the other major topics.
Like the 101 thread is very helpful to those needing just starting out users to iOS type questions to be answered.
