Ok I cave, been fairly loyal to IK over the year, mainly because they were there at the start I remember paying like $60 for the irig (back just after the iPad 1 came out) I tried Amplitube because I'd tried the SVX plugin ages ago and was blown away by it.
Used it to practice back stage at gigs, on tour, learning songs etc. I play tube amps the SVT did me fine and then B15 was an improvement on that and I was happy.
But reading this thread and more importantly the launch of audiobus, I've been following loopy closely and think its amazing so anything that allows me to use multiple music apps with it is a winner in my book. So I've downloaded Jamup bought the bass pack and am really impressed again, mainly using the B15 and SVT and you can really hear the difference in amp models, do they sound like tube amps, sorta but its a different experience with headphones.
Also went back and low and behold and Amplitube won't load up, so the B15 I bought really was a waste.
So yes, another customer leaving IK and going to Jamup, shame but gotta go where the tones and functionality is.

Welcome to the bus!!
Make sure you spend some time with the GK. there's some really cool tones in that model.
What settings are you guys using on the Blueline and the B15 in Jamup? Those two aren't as easy to dial in as the Redhead and the GK.
Oh I also like how quickly I can load tracks in to Jamup
Now I just need to buy a crap load of apps and see if I can sell some looping stuff
You don't really need to buy many apps at all. You've already got Jamup. With that, Audiobus (naturally), and Loopy, you can create some real crazy stuff.
Check this out, this is just amazing. http://youtu.be/RmuXgEPQzb8
Funny thing is that is spent well over $100 in Amplitube, between the Irig and all the in-app crap and now it's a dead icon on my screen.
I'm into Jamup so far for less than $25, Loopy is on sale in the App Store for like $2.99. Audiobus is $9.99, so I'm still WAY ahead of the game and have so much more bass stuff in Jamup compared to AT that its just embarrassing.

I've bought the Loopy, but need to learn it. For me, the Jamup, the Audiobus, the DAW and the Moog are important, and maybe a drum machine.
Check out DM1. Killer drum machine app. No Audiobus, but copy/paste works. I've actually built a rhythm in DM1 (free, btw), copied it and pasted it into Loopy, then layered on top of it with Jamup. Good stuff.
I'm not sure why I'm getting so much distortion from the Ampeg models in Jamup. My settings are almost identical.
The MOOG is next on my list after MT DAW. I'm having so much fun with Loopy (still learning it, the tutorials help a lot) that I'm not ready for it yet, though.

Might just be hotter pickups, higher pickup adjustment, heavier right hand, or a more sensitive ear.
For example, I'm a clean weenie, and don't like even a touch of grit in my clean tones...
I usually use just a touch of grit to my sound, so when I dig in its gets aggressive. I primarily use flats, so that changes thing a little, too. Most of my clips right now have been recorded on my 60th Ann P, which at the moment is wearing D'Addario rounds.
My pickups are the Fender '62's on my main bass, my backup is a single coil P with a cheapie pickup (soon to be a Muy Grande).
I managed to clean up the B15, but with the Blueline I gotta be careful or things get compressed and dirty fast. With a pick it sounds like Alice in Chains, almost Sansamp kinda grit. I like it but it won't work too well with a full band.
My main tone is very close to the GK. I'm guessing eventually the Redhead will be my amp of choice because of how clean it stays, but I'm not quite there yet with that amp. I found "my sound" right away with the GK.

It might be due to my pick technique. I use a Herco 75 pick which is about 1.2mm. Buy only 1-2mm of it stick in front of my thumb and index finger. I also use my middle finger to hold the pick. And of course, your pups might be hotter.
I just downloaded DM1 last night, after I caught your (?) mention of it earlier in this thread. It's ridiculously cool for a free app. You guys all need to go download it right now before they catch on and start charging for it. lol.
There's a bunch of different kits, it's super easy to navigate/use and sounds pretty good from what I can tell (after only trying it with the iPad speaker briefly before passing out last night anyway ). At the very least, it's a metronome on super steroids you can jam with while practicing. I'm really looking forward to exploring this one further.

5sg.
Downloaded it earlier today and played with it a bit. Cool app!
