Took it right to practice today and implemented in a song we were jamming on. The Subtle detune into the Photon Fuzz with the Xerograph giving me a cocked wah type of sound was really something else.

I have to hand it to Taylor. His pedals do really play well together and with my other pedals especially the markbass SS and EH BMS. Loving my new pedalboard arrangement. Currently have the oxide>xero deluxe>frantabit>looper>Markbass SS>polytope>nimbus. Clicking one on after the order in order just builds the intensity without compromising the tone. Settings have a lot to do with it, but finding it really easy to build controlled celestial mayhem.

Throwing out some love for my man Taylor!!!

This is an awesome example of how cool Iron Ether pedals are! I use for everything BUT a traditional envelope filter, which it actually kills at!
I am just playing my Iron Ether Xerograph Deluxe into a delay, which is in this case an Earthquaker Devices Ghost Echo. Then I kick on a Smallsound/bigsound Mt. Range OD in the middle.
This is NOT multitracked. This is one take. Please listen to the WHOLE thing, it'll take you somewhere!

I dig it Tigerbass! Are you using the expression pedal at 2:45 to control the frequency of the filter?

I've been gassing lately for a Frantabit... then I saw the Polytope... if only the Polytope had an expression input, that would become my next. decisions decisions! If I move my expression pedal off my board, I'd have room for both!

Really dug that as well, Tigerbass. I'm a follower now for sure. Incidentally, I layed around with the oxide, xero, polytope, frantabit, Markbass SS cocktail last night and came up with this Irish psychotropic riff. Pretty lame but I was laughing hysterically. It's like a sonic whip it. http://soundcloud.com/kpo2000/effect-noise

Have never heard Continuum before...had to look it up...so hope that's a good thing. If not, that's fine, I only do Cheech & Chong inspired drones on weekends. My main gig is 60s soul and funk 8 piece.

I know that jam. I don't see the connection, but amazing what associations IE can conjure up. ;-)

I'm working on a Portrait of Tracy cover featuring the Nimbus. It sounds amazing with the harmonics.

No expression pedal. I had it dialed in so it would trigger just based on how hard I hit the strings. Then at the very end I kicked on my DMB Lunar Echo in warped mode.

Pretty wild! I REALLY like the way the Polytope drone sounds like (at about 27 seconds...I think that's what it is). This clip DID NOT help my GAS for a Polytope!

Another great example of how versatile the Xero is....

That's awesome! The layering is wicked cool.
That's what I was tripping about in my riff I posted is that it sounds layered but it's not.

Are people still digging on their frantabit? I was thinking of giving one a whirl for the electronic projects I do occasionally.

I still use mine on a regular basis for various sessions and sound design stuff. I love the way it gives a filter a vocal like quality, and the distortion/bit rate section sounds gnarly and can be very versatile. I also use it by patching it into Ableton and running VST instruments and drum sequencers through it. Very neat and useful for that style of music.
