Just can't get that tone...

I've tried a number of pedals, and I just can't get the tone I'm looking for. The closest example I can get to what I'm looking for:

Ceremony - The Lines in My Forehead (myspace.com/ceremony)

Somebody point me in the right direction!

You don't ANY pedals to do that.
Less bass and lots of treble w/ high mids on an Ampeg SVT Classic head out of good speakers will get you that sound.

Or get a Rickenbacker for twang...

Or get a Sansamp to mess w/ tone...

Their bass player just has a Fender jazz...so start there...

Gonna see what I can do with my set-up. Much appreciated.

i've seen ceremony twice, and both times the bass rig was a sansamp (rbi most likely, maybe an rpm) into a poweramp through an ampeg 8x10. basically using the svt setting with ample presence will get you that sound.
