Just finished my Flipster

Hey folks,

Just wanted to chime in and say how cool this little pedal is. I had a Sansamp BDDI years back that I never really bonded with (always sounded sort of scooped and muddy to me) but this flipster is definitely everything that I wanted the BDDI to be. I think it's going to be most difficult to turn this one off. I used the PCB from OLC Circuits - very nice board. It was a quick and easy build, and the sound is just what I wanted.

I'll throw some pictures up here once my wife paints the box.

A neighbor made one for me. He decided to shrink the PCB a bit though.
I really think mine is pretty cool

Cool but...

No pics/review/CLIPS = no pedal

An A/B with the VT bass, the gemini drive and an Xotic bb bass preamp for extra points

I hope the painting works out for you. How do you (or your wife) go around painting it? Did you sand and prime, what kind of paint do you use and how do you coat it?
Im interested because I'm also planning to do some diy stuff soon.

I've always thought that giftwrap finish was awesome!

I use the painted enclosures from Pedal Parts Plus, then my wife paints whatever she wants on top of that. We use a brush-on clearcoat after that to seal her painting.
