Just got a Boss ME-20B

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey to you all, I'm new to this forum and I just got a Boss ME-20B for x-mas. This is my first experience with effects and I would want to get the best sound out of it.

I saw some demos of the ME-20B in action on their website and it sounded like heaven. But between the configurations on my amp, my bass and the effects, I'm kinda lost and can't seem to figure it out. So I was wondering if you guys had some presets to share or some cool effect combination you experienced with this device.

Oh and by the way (shame on me) I couldn't figure out how to turn the wah effect on, I mean I select it but the wah light isn't lit. Hopefully you can help me out with that.

Thanks

Indeed, the button is underneath the forward toe of the pedal, so push it in particularly hard and the light should go on.

i just got the me-20b for x-mas too and i couldnt seem to get it to work at its best either. i got the wah to work, i works to push the front of the pedal down. Does any one know how i can use more than one sfx effect? like say octave and envelope filter at the same time ?

I have also bought this, and have read the instruction manual, but have quite a few problems.
1)Does anyone know how to switch from the first effect on a switch to the last, e.g wah to fretless or delay to chorus. I honestly cannot figure out how
2)And also i can't get the wah light on? is the wah on or is it a synth? :S
3) if there is a headphone socket, do i need to be plugged into an amp to produce sound in the headphones? :S

you have to have the light lit next to the line with delay/mod and turn the "type" knob to switch from effects

So now that you ugys have had this unit for a little while, what are you impressions and recomendations?

I am looking for a box that I can use with headphones and without an amp for use in our condo.... HAve considered a Pod, but feel the Boss unit is constructed better and the effects are an added bonus(if I ever use them)...
