I just got my Basswitch today! It's KILLER!!! It is sooooo much better than the Radial Bassbone and the EBS Microbass II that it's not even funny.

Subscribed to this one, I was very impressed at NAMM. I thought it was one of the nicest pieces in the show. What advantages and differences do you find over the Bassbone? I can think of a few obvious ones:

Conventional power supply, not 15v (wiil work with most power distributors like Pedal Power II )

Boost and Loop switches are seperate circuits and assignable

Two loops aavailable and assignable.

Any others?

From googling it there are only 2 options to buy (in the UK) and we are talking almost £400 for this? for that kind of money this thing better be unstoppable and indestructible :O

It uses Lehlie switches which are top of the line. A lehlie dual switcher with LED's and isolated signal paths is $229 in the states. This has three of their switches. From looking at it at NAMM it appears it is "unstoppable and indestructable". I would love to hear more from Prokenlang on the differences over the competition which he apears to have some experience with.

- the EQ is far more flexible and more musical sounding
- Input A has a switchable input impedance (1MegaOhm/10 MegaOhms) especially for piezo PUs

and most of all: the Basswitch sounds WAY BETTER

I got one, too. It's a wonderful tool. A real Swiss knife for bassists. I use it mainly as a preamp/DI-box. Very transparent sounding, useful EQ, mute switch. I power mine with a standard 9 V power supply. It also works well when daisy-chained.

I just ordered one. I think its worth the $599 price. I cant compare it to other devices since i haven't tried them. Of course I haven't tried this one one yet either, but from the videos it sounds really good and I need it as a control center. It looks like 3 or 4 types of devices.

Cant wait for it's arrival. Should be here Saturday. I'm gonna be brave and use it that evening straight out of the box.

Of course this is just my opinion

Thanks for the snapshot!

Now that you've had yours for a few days, how do you like it?

Funny you should ask. I just spent the day rearranging, plugging, setting and playing with my stuff today. I found the Basswitch to be very versatile.

Tone, tone and tone for days.
I had a fulltone fat boost 3 and found I didn't need it anymore. Still need a great compressor. I'm waiting for 3 leaf audio or an Aguilar.

Did one gig with it and have 3 next week. I'll do a big review when I'm done, but so far it really works for my needs.

I'll post pics of my new Mini board later
