Got one today -but it only works of batteries -do i have the wrong one - cant plug it into my pedal board- is the new one better--- its the black one- new in the box - i like it but the battery thing just doesnt make since to me

It could be a standalone power supply (with the correct voltage/polarity), a double-ended male plug, or one point of a daisy chain.
The other end clips onto the pedals' battery clip (obviously)
Also, what pedal board did you get?

The battery cover on your Russian BM P (for pi) should still clip in. I actually use 2 of the battery clips (one with a different pedal) in my setup, and the clip-in battery cover stays on.

Unless you do the 'pigtail' thing mentioned above. |

so now i will either return it and get the made in NY one or find the adapter - but i keep hearing or reading good thing about the black one --- nitpicking and opinions welcome.....

If you're looking for a muff, you might fare better w/ a Bass Big Muff or a 'vintage' clone, more so for the former being that new are new to the game w/ effects. There seem to be a few complaints about the black russian, NYC, and some for the Little Big Muff.
There have been very few people, at least on TB, that have totally hated the Bass Big Muff. |
