Just helped my friend.......

Sign in to disble this ad
He's a guitarist and overflowed his PT Pro so bought a PT2 as well and was unhappy with his layout

So I've taken these

and

and turned them into this

Now he's a guitarist that does a lot of solo, looping and ambient work hence the pedal choice.

But how freakin awesome are those boards

Reached right through the wires and put that all together, didja? You are so talented!

Seriously, it looks a lot better and easier to work with. Is that one of Toasted's little buffers?

Edit: No, maybe not. There's two of them? What are the little boxes there?

Also.....

Mismatched cables!! Oh! My eyes! My eyes!

Sweet board setup! But now you're giving me GAS to get another PT board to fill with more pedals... Mine is just about to full capacity.
Must...resist...the urge...

You mean the copper plate?

It's a part of the probe, and works like a "theremin-style antenna" which controles the wah-sound.

http://www.zvex.com/wahprobe.html
Quote:
How it works:

The probe circuit generates a small (one or two inches high) "bubble" of RF energy at about a million cycles per second above the copper plate. As your foot or hand (or any wet or metallic object, for that matter) approaches the copper plate, the RF field is disturbed and the circuit reacts by increasing the brightness of an LED, which drives a photoresistive cell and controls the Z. Vex wah circuit. The wah circuit is actually the Seek-Wah sound circuit without the sequencer control. It's also the same wah circuit as the one in The Drip guitar that I make. The only difference is the boost circuit in this Wah Probe model.

Oh man, is that a twin reverb he's playing through too? My favorite guitar amp of all time. I bet that sounds the balls for ambient work

I wish I had some friends that knew the first damn thing about pedals or just quality gear in general.
