It controls the "sensitivity". When the sensitivity knob is all the way down, the effect is very subtle. When it is maxed, you achieve face shredding distortion.. so I've heard.

The expression pedal extension allows you to control that with a pedal, thus calling for a spectrum of sweeping harm!

the standard (not germanium) B:assmaster is f*cking intense, im getting the exp upgrade done now. the sensitivity is weird, imagine it like the sens control on an envelope filter: on higher settings: the lighter you play, the more top-end and aggressive the tone is (with more harmonics/upper octave) the harder you play the rounder the fuzz becomes, less aggressive (in a useful way) and it IS useful, the B:assmaster is REALLY aggressive and the volume pot is pretty sensitive too (i find i need quite a large volume boost in band situations to cut thru, and cut it does. the downside of this is that if ur playing a solo spot, or a break when its just bass it can sound really loud, which is where the Sensetivity control comes in use and this is exactly why im so keen on the exp upgrade)

oh yeah and on lower sens settings, u can lessen the gain and it becomes less input sensitive.

its a pretty unique pedal and any problems and Malekko will sort it out for you, they post on here and they helped me out.

i was gonna sell mine (purely for financial reasons) but im glad im holding onto it id count it as my 'signature' fuzz
