Just ordered new DVA bass pedal!!

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey guys,

Just thought I'd share that I've ordered a new pedal from Dave Hall Amps - has had his fair share of airtime on this forum and a few others, and I was NOT reading any negative things about him...have had my eye on his site for quite a while passively but I came across this pedal a few days ago and just had one of those moments where I knew I had to have one...

http://www.davehallamps.co.uk/Produc...s%20Drive.html

E-mailed Dave and as soon as I got the details sold what I could on eBay and to cut a long story short I put an order in about an hour ago I will try and post a comprehensive review + soundclips when it arrives, because as you probably agree it looks like it has some amazing features. I am not normally the impulsive G.A.S kind of guy, but I don't buy pedals often and when I spotted this it really was a case of instant gut feeling.

Finally I specified the paintjob as a classy black with silver writing (silver writing being Dave's idea) in a similar style to this

except with newer features and without the red streaks.

The wait had better not kill me

Yeah, that's probably the next DHA pedal I'm going to buy. Good stuff.

I meant DHA in the post title silly me, excuses for that! That pedal just looks incredible...right down to the fact it has headphone out and line in so I can use it to practise to my iPod!! Stuff like that just made me look at it and think:

mine.

The overdrive you can achieve with it sounds like my complete cup of tea as well, low/mid gainy stuff. I did see some of your posts around TB and it sounds like it really delivers that in spades?

John at DHA-USA has just put the US version on their website - nice colour!

This pedal is quickley becoming our best selling in Europe and at present only second to the VT1-Std-Bass but I think it will overtake it in the new year.

Don't think there is mate by the sounds of things, but Dave could probably clarify that a bit more accurately.

Dang it, that looks cool... If my VT Bass doesn't work out for me, I might just have to pick one of these things up to replace it.

DHA-USA (www.davehallampsusa.com)

Hi...same great pedal...just different enclosure...the color is "prismatic black"...we will post much better photos soon (need to get a new camera)...the color is killer! ...but it's all about the tone baby...and the tone is the best we've ever produced IMHO...this will be our lead model here in the US...we also built an acoustic version that is a perfect match for uprights connected to solid state mini rigs...

My current rigs: this pedal w/ GK MB2 500 & Schroeder 1212L for larger gigs and same pedal w/ EA micro300 & Schroeder 10+L...the pedal adds just the right amount of vintage "tube tone" to my modern rigs & the DI offers a super quiet direct line for the house...

So has it arrived yet? This appears to be just what I'm looking for.
