There are D*A*M's pedals like Head Buzz (Fuzz Face clone) which are sold for like $1000-1300 in just few hours, not to mention Big Daddy (three Tone Benders in one) that went for $2500. I wouldn't pay such money for a stompbox, but at the same time it doesn't bother me at all.

I didn't buy any Lovetone pedals when they went for $500 new, so I certainly wouldn't pay more than double for a used one in today's economy. Somebody else might, but they would be silly considering that Lovetones are going for around $700 these days.

In today's world I pretty much LOL at any pedal over $200 though, but I've become a cheap bastard really.

Well... maybe it's a fetish, these $1000+ pedals.

My approach to buying pedals is based on the belief that I can achieve my tone and FX objectives without spending my kids inheritance. I do own one fairly expensive pedal, but I bought that after trying several other similar less expensive pedals without achieving what I wanted. However, I also own a small stone nano, which totally meets my needs for under a hundred.

The only reason i'd feel it's justified to buy these pedals are to attempt to build one of your own and clone it to make money off of the copies.
