i suggest going on youtube and finding 'toolbassplayer' .He has all the same FX , the wal, and same or similar amp setup at one point.

He explains all the pedals and what he does with them in a single video.

I was just thinking the other day about how much I liked his "clean" tone. I might pick up a Turbo Rat, a blender and an EQ to try and recreate it. Hell, I already need the last 2 for my next fuzz idea.

No, he is a poster here (toolbassplayer). I don't remember his username here, though.

I've been pondering the same experiment as well, but face the same financial limitations. Damn those rockstars and their massive rigs....

Then there's no better time than to do your own thing instead of trying to cop other people's tones...

Just kidding, I'm pretty sure any musician who has ever listened to someone else's music has been in the same boat as us. Yeah, I'm still lusting after a Green Matamp.

It will be different depending on your bass.

I take it you don't have a wal, so while you can eq the grit the same, it will not sound the same because honestly, nothing sounds like a wal. His grit is gritty, yes, but not full blown grit, it still retains quite a bit of the basses tonality as the drive level isn't that high. I used have a turbo rat...

Frankly, I'd settle for either, but I'd love a Green Matamp and not an Electric Green/White/Whatever, if I had that choice. I realize that Matamp is still around, but unless I'm mistaken they no longer offer 200ish Watt heads.

That and they don't offer the Green vinyl anymore
