Kahler Tremolo Arms

Sign in to disble this ad
So as a graduation present before college, my parents are getting me an Ibanez SR500 bass. One of my ideas is to have a nice Kahler tremolo. However, I have a few questions as to this idea.

1) How well will a Kahler function with the SR500? Any other trem users have advice for me?
2) The SR500 has very close pickups and the tremolo arm I'm currently looking at is the 2410 and is described as such:
This KahlerŽ 2410 4 string model with rearward facing rollers is designed to retrofit on all popular bass guitars with a limited fitting area like a Fender Precision Bass has.
Is this the right arm for the SR500?

Thanks,
Ry

Sorry for mistake. Mods, please move if you feel necessary.

I will however, ask how functional a tremolo arm can be. I'm pretty set on buying one, but would just like a little more feedback on what I can really do with one. Les Claypool has given me quite an example however.

They are not the most useful item, but then, I love mine and wouldn't be without it.
Generally the most useful aspects are, Divebombs, Bending Harmonics, Pitch Shifting Chords and Vibrato with Chords. There are a few other things you can do but of less importance really.
