Hard to say for sure, but I know he's used a Big Muff in the past.

He's used a Big Muff, indeed.

I can recreate the sound on my Bass Big Muff.

I sure hope that lame pop song in the you tube vid on the download page isn't on the record.

Sounds like a muff on Crawl to me too, and it sounds like he's got his dirt in a DI feed ... but you could get the vibe with pretty much any nasty fuzz or distortion. I like his dirty sound on McFearless a lot better ... that one seems like he's maybe running the muff through an open wah.

I prefer the mcfearlass fuzz. This one lacks definition.
