Knockout Issues

I've been playing around with my new EHX Knockout, and found that the High control did nothing for bass, and I mean nothing at all. Howeever, when I added my Bass Big Muff before the Knockout, it acted as a kind if ''High Blend'' control.

Forgive me if this is the point of the High control, but I was concerned to find that when all of the controls were down, and I turned each one up in turn there was a gain in volume (silence to sound), but when the High control was turned up, there was nothing; it just stayed silent.

Is my pedal defective, or is it just that the frequency range for the High control is set too high for the bass frequencies to trigger anything?

In theory, if you turn down to zero "low" and "dry" and up "high" you should hear everything above 6.5kHz.

If the signal has been filtered before the KO to remove everything above 6.5kHz, the "high" control will have no effect.
