Trying to figure out what is causing distortion in my effects unit. I think it is on the input side. Anyone else have this problem? Thanks

yea is usually from a bad a/c adapter cable.

Have you checked the clip LED on the input and adjusted input level? It's supposed to light up green/yellow. Red means that the signal is too hot.
