Korg DT-4 DT4 Chromatic Strobe Tuner

Just got this and all I can say is WOW !!

50 dollars street, and 3 different tuning modes.
Small (think cutting a baseball in half), and very bright lights.
Built in mic and 1/4 inch phone input
Accuracy plus/minus 1 cent.

See it here:

http://korg.com/gear/info.asp?a_prod...&category_id=5

Check out the video; it shows the different modes.

I give this thing a "10"

Regards,
Mike

Very interesting. How is it with 5 string basses?

Edit: Just noticed from the Korg website that there's a similar model (GT-4) for bass/guitar. Any reason you chose the DT-4 over this?

Interesting! Possibly a good choice for someone who already has a mute-to-tune footswitch on their pedalboard.

Yes, I like the green strobe lights better than red
(Seriously!)

Now there's a feature on the GT-4 for those of you who tune with drop tuning:

Flat Tuning Function:
1 to 5 semitones (semitone steps)

Ha ha... good reason. Think the green looks better as well. Have you tried the DT-4 with a 5-string? Seems like the GT-4 can be used on a 6-string.

No, don't have a 5 stringer. But I'm sure the DT-4 can handle it:

Hi all,

Just an update.

I LOVE this tuner.Very easy to use, you can see it in pitch blackness, and the 3 different modes are really cool.
