KORG DTR-1000 in safetymode?

Sign in to disble this ad
I don't know if this is the right place to ask my question, but here I go...

My Korg DTR-1000 racktuner may be broke, but I'm not sure.
Last rehearsal my Ampeg SVT 2Pro's transformer blew.
The Ampeg's in repair now - still under guarantee - so that's been taken care off. But it seems that my tuner took some damage too, although I don't know how. It was only connected via jack cable: tuner in (Korg) and tuner out (Ampeg). But anyway, the electricity fell out and after switching it on again, my tuner wouldn't tune anymore. When I turn it on it seems to work, but the 'mute' and 'flat' leds light up simultaneous and the tuning led doesn't.

Is it possible that the tuner went into 'safetymode' or somekind? I couldn't find anything about such a mode in the manual, so I was hoping someone on TB has experienced the same and can tell me what to do.

Otherwise, I have to take it in repair too, and that will cost me money...

EEK!

That rots.

Does it have a fuse? Other than that I can't think of any quick fixes...

I suppose if it was a fuse it wouldn't light up at all, but we can be hopeful.... can't we?

Well, there's no fuse accessible on the outside.
Haven't opened it yet. I'll look this evening...

Thx!

It seems that ti's not that easy to open it up.
There's also a warning on the outside for risk of electric shocks, so I didn't open it... I'm not a technician.
