Korg G5 and Korg AX3000B. Overkill?

Sign in to disble this ad
Some of you may remember a thread I started a little while ago about my search for a synth replacement for my Korg AX3000B. Well, I found a Korg G5 on ebay for $300 and grabbed it up. I got it today and tried it out and really like it. I got to thinking why not keep both the G5 and AX3000B(I only use the synth) on the same board? Is that overkill, ridiculous, etc.?

Sounds pretty good to me. I would suggest considering a true bypass loop for the G5 as the bypass is pretty dodgy. And you might consider leaving a spot on your board for an expression pedal for the G5.

hawaiianbass--how would you say the AX3000B's synth compares to the G5? I've only ever heard the AX but I hear so much about the G5.
