Korg Pitchblack tuner pedal on order

Sign in to disble this ad
I ordered one of these on Saturday and will be looking forward to gicing it a full review. I have used a Korg rack tuner for the past 15 years but am looking at not using a rack anymore. $89 Canadain seemed like a decent price for a true bypass strobe tuner with Korg's name on it.

I will post a full review when it arrives.

It's a very solid pedal, I bet you'll be happy with it.

i wish these were shipping out now. i need a new tuner and really want this one, but alas, they are still in pre-order status. i don't wanna buy another one if it's just gonna get replaced by a Pitchblack.

I've seen quite a few popping up on people's boards recently...

MF seems a bit confused....On the page it says "Preorder now!" and also "In stock and ready to ship!"

Might want to give them a call and see if they have them.

everyplace I've checked have them pre-ordered. If you know of a place that's shipping out, kindly let us know.

Not sure about online, but Guitar Center has them in store. That's where I got mine about a month ago.

A question for those with a Pitch-Black:

Can you read it easily in bright sunlight? One of my major pet-peeves with the Boss TU-2 is the virtual impossibility of quick tuning outside when the sun is overhead (at least without doing a goofy flamingo-pose).

I've got one here at home, swapped out the Tu2 for it.

Got an update today from my retailer (Long & Mcquade) that the Pitchblack is not expected to even arrive at the wholesalers until the end of June!!

They are however, selling new DT-10's for $49 at L&M during the mont of June. Should I hold out for the Pitchblack or is the older DT-10 too much of a good deal at that price???

Just picked up one today. Nice pedal. About the size of an MXR phase 90. Tracks well. 4 different tuning modes. Thumbs up from me. This will replace my Peterson StroboStomp.

$49 is a great deal. Go for it. Thinking of getting one myself.. I prefer the silver anyway.

I picked up a DT-10 today. $49 was too good of a deal to pass up. I kept the Pitchblack on order and will use it on my PT jr when it finally coems in. the DT-10 will be kept seperate s a gig bag tuner. Very nice tuner indeed!

I just bought a pitchblack here in Switzerland. I noticed there was a new music shop opened near my place, I walk in and hello mr potchblack

It's nice and solid. looks cheap on the pictures, but no, it's all metal.

Regarding readability in sunlight, I just saw this post in a different thread: Best Tuner For Bright Sunlight
Now I'm reluctant to get a PitchBlack -are there any other real-life bright sunlight usage comments? It's just lame if you have to resort to a "custom" shield (imo).....

+1 Don't regret getting rid of my Strobostomp2 for a minute. Great tuner in a small sexy package.
