Korg Px5d buzz when using headphones

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi guys!!!

I recently purchased a Korg Px5d to practice without bothering anyone at home. I also purchased a cheap set of Behringer headphones (around $30).

When i plugged my bass into the pandora, i noticed this buzz on the left headphone whenever i played a low note. I thought, "ok, maybe these headphones cannot take low frequencies very well" as it sounds as if the speaker itself has reached its limit. The funny thing is that the buzz is only audible on the left speaker.

I've also tried the earbuds that came with my cel phone and while the buzz is much lower, it's still there. This happens with all effects on the pandora and to be honest, it's bugging me.

Could this be a malfunction on the px5d or is it a matter of me not having the right type of headphones for the little box?

Could you tell me if you have the same kind of problem and if not, what kind of headphones are you using?

Thanks a lot!!

By the way, i have so far tried:

2 different headphones
2 different basses
3 different wires

Just trying to isolate the problem, and the buzz is still there.

Thanks!

I would suggest a better pair of headphones. I bought a set several years ago that just started "farting" when I play a low note or did a slide. I thought it might be my new bass so I plugged into my practice amp and everything sounded fine. Time to invest in a new set of headphones.
