LED connection on vintage muff

Sign in to disble this ad
hey guys,

Not sure if this should be here or the setup and repair section of the site...

I have an old Civil War Muff. The guy supposedly made it true-bypass...and claimed that part of the necessary changes in order to make it so meant disconnecting the LED.

I personally don't care about it being TBP or not since I have it on a TBP loop.

I really don't have a lot of experience with this...wondering if anyone might be able to talk me through reconnecting it. I'd rather know when it's on.

Did he change the footswitch out?

If so my guess is he used a DPDT switch. You can easily remedy this by throwing a 3PDT switch in there and doing a little re-routing to get your LED glowing again to your heart's delight.

My thoughts exactly!

If he installed a dpdt instead of a 3pdt and didn't reconnect the led, you went to the wrong guy. I'd either ask him to hook it up properly, do it yourself, or have a friend do it.
